He’s * 21 years of age ffs, special, special player.

 

Best performance by him this season. 10/10

 

I don’t say this lightly, but that was an absolutely world class performance by Tierney. The bhoy has the lot.

 

You know what, am kinda lost for words for that Kieran performance tonight!

 

He was incredible tonight, bleeds green and white too

 

Absolute hero.

 

Literally ripped his heart out and offered it to us tonight , reminds us all that there is still beauty in this game amongst corruption and greed ,a 1 off player and person ,i personally am proud to be aliive at a time to have witnessed him pulling on the hoops ,hope the club look after him well as he will stay here while he could be earning vast sums elsewhere .

 

Red Bull might sniffing about our squad now , is it only players under 23 they sign

Can see KT telling them to keep their Euro's

 

He was that class tonight that I thought the exact same..

Bet they'd love him..

Especially after seeing shooders murder their left back. They'd love him too I'd imagine..

 

Pretty sure we were supposed to be signing their LB Halstenberg but Ronny wanted to give Tierney a chance.

 

World Class

 

Wouldn’t be sure of that mate, Tierney getting a game was a complete accident after Ronny discovered Ambrose was gash there, Tyler Blackett was the worst footballer known to mankind and Izzy was suspended.

And Tierney * seized his opportunity. Quite similar to Christie just now, he was kicking about the squad and the manager liked him but everybody else got an opportunity before it was forced upon them, and they * bossed it. Hopefully Christies career goes the same way

 

We've actually had a few players come out of nowhere to be good recently Rogic, McGregor and Armstrong took about 2 year each to start looking class even Boyata, Lustig as well didnt really cement himself as a good player for about 18 month a lot of people still liked Matthews so Christie could do it.

Even Samaras, took Samaras about 3 year before he became a consistent well liked player, he started off well then was inconsistant for 2 year. Forrest also, he was always decent but in and out, injured all the time, took him a long time to become the player he is now.

We forget most of the guys we sign are like 20-23 and we expect them all to come in and be good but some take 2/3 years to improve and get experienced and consistant.

 

Sure we’ve had this discussion on here before and you got the dates mixed up... but Tierney was supposedly to make his debut in 2014 but broke his leg. As soon as he was fit again Ronny gave him his debut.

That summer we had supposedly agreed a deal for Halstenberg but Ronny wanted KT to be his first choice and was going to give him the chance. Think he played 30 odd games that season.

The only accident involving Tierney was he wasn’t starting games for our u20’s so was called up to first team training to make the numbers and Ronny absolutely loved him.

 

And yet he still played Tyler Blackett and Ambrose infront of him while fit. He was never supposed to be first choice, he was the last option there, like I said Ronny did like him though and that’s why he was in and around the squad. Tierney just absolutely smashed it when his chance eventually came around.

 

Tyler Blackett, just googled him and seen hes actually playing for Reading and in the Championship. He's definitely up there as one of the worst players ever to have played for us, theres been a lot of * but that one European game was it against Salzburg or somecunt he was absolutley dreadful and didnt look like he knew what he was doing its probably the standout worst performance in a Celtic top ive ever seen I dont think he got a game again after that?

 

When did Blackett or Ambrose start ahead of him at LB? Only time I can remember Blackett playing LB for us was when he replaced KT in one of the European games for the last 20 minutes and was all over the shop and fans were giving him dogs abuse.
