Stadium Re-Development....A Good Idea? or Not?

Can't see us ever getting a EL Final unless we develop the main stand.

 

Especially when you look at some of the stadiums that have held previous European finals.

 

WE WONT GET ONE WITH THAT FUKIN LIGHT SHOW

 

I wan't that every game we play after dark no matter who the opposition is.. Imagine the fear that would put into them in front of 57,000+ Bhoys.

 

The atmosphere at Celtic Park on European nights is generated by the fans singing. That's what makes it authentic and special. In my opinion the light show will just be a distraction that will take time and attention away from the songs. I can see the point of it for other events, but I think it will damage the match evening experience. It's just trying to copy the European big stadiums, but forgetting about what makes the CL and Europa nights at Parkhead some of the best around.

 

I'm assuming they'll only be on before kick off. You'll still be able to hear singing, just imagine that light show with the CL theme playing and the fans roaring. It'll be fantastic.

 

I'm sure they will just be on before kick off, but the light show has daft music with it. Nothing for the fans to sing along with. And it won't be a patch on watching everyone holding up their scarves and singing you'll never walk alone.

 

It’s the infrastructure of the old stand, it’s just too small and constraining. No matter how modern we try to make it we are working with an area that’s too confined. It needs rebuilt..

 

Imagine the green brigade getting permission to use the lights for s special TIFO

 

Have that * going on in winter months well before kickoff as we turn up, any game as long as it is dark. So on TV its all going on in the background whilst the pundits talk etc. Then cameras join the lightshow for 15-30 sec, have it suddenly drop to dark silence, before lighting up in silence in green and white round the stadium, then stadium breakins into YNWA. Would look amazin on TV I think and build upon our status on a platform dominated by english clubs, then throught match no lightshow unless a goal is scored and kept subtle when it happens.

 

The main stand always annoys me, I am a obsessive for symmetry, they should have just upgraded it when we built the new stadium, * sake its just like the temporary stand with a roof!

 

Aye the main stand looks great from the outside and there's a lot of history with it, but it needs rebuilt eventually and made the same level as the other three stands. Also, i would love for the metal supports on the outside of the stadium to be removed somehow or at the very least covered up.

 

The facade can remain but inside it needs rebuilt, if they can destroy century old schools to make car parks then for sure they can do this.

 

Issue for me isn't the old main stand it's the amount of restrictive view seats we have due to the beams.

In hindsight I think we should have completely rebuilt the stadium in the 90s and moved it slightly away from the cemetery which would have allowed us to have no restrictive view seats and all stands being same size.

We don't need the stadium expanded and I couldn't care less about us hosting a final tbh.

Either way. That * needs sorted, it’s a waste of a seat.
