The next league game against Hearts i think will decide it.
If we win then we will win title. If we lose then we wont.
Unless the sheep do them in their next game against each other at Hearts
As for the huns, they are irrelevant.

Edit:just re-read don’t think Hearts will win the league even if they beat us at Celtic Park..

 

I think he means when we play them in November mate. However a lot can happen between now n then.

 

Nothing's changed over weekend for me.......convinced we'll win it and i still think the orcs will be 2nd (but i'm not so sure about that one, especially if they don't win at w/e)......be great and a wee bit ironic if their wee Euro wrecking session costs them a place in it next year!!!

 

I’ve just read through the ten pages of this thread,why Celtic supporters don’t think we can win the league after just a handful of games is beyond me.
Will we win the league?yes,there’s no other team that has the same quality of players that we have.
Will it be pretty?no,i don’t think we’ll be beating teams the way we were in the invincibles season,between not having the same players and replacing the ones that have left with the same or better quality and the other teams parking the bus against us instead of trying to play against us and relying on taking the lead and hanging on to it,i think it’s going to be a slog with a lot of tedious performances,but if it means we’re only winning by the odd goal and frustrating games then as a season ticket holder,if that’s what it takes to win the league then I’ll take it.
It’s not what i want to see as a Celtic supporter,I’d rather see my team play the way, a Celtic team should play,fast attacking free flowing football not this tippy tappy side to side stuff that we’re playing just now.
I get that the manager wants us to play possession football,that’s all fine and well if there is an end product to it,but in this league the way other teams set up against us it’s not going to happen because they won’t open up to attack leaving space to exploit.
We do need fresh faces to move forward but again,the board don’t see the need to invest as that means they have to open the purse strings which means the financial side of the business suffers and that’s not good for them as a plc.
As a manager going into his third season and still having to work with what is basically still Ronnies main core of players i think is unacceptable,not being able to forge his own team and standing on his own must surely be annoying and frustrating for Brendan.
I don’t want the club to go all gung ho and blow all our cash but investing when needed on the playing squad should be the main part of what we do as at the end of the day we are a football club,and a goddam fine one at that.
So yes we will win the league,that’s not arrogance on my behalf but a belief in Celtic.
The league is our bread and butter,we should be concentrating on that,anything else should be a bonus,although i want another treble.

 

I definitely got twitchy when we were well below par and relationships looked broken beyond repair behind the scenes but I feel daft now..

We'll absolutely smash the league and win the cup..

The very bare minimum is we'll do a double..

The opposition is * mince and has nowhere near the depth we have or the quality in the final third..

 

Changed my mind. We will win the title easily by maybe 6 points.
League Cup Yes.
Scottish Cup Yes
Europa League No but will get through the groups.

 

The League has never been in doubt, even if we only play to 70% of our ability in 25 of the League games and reserve ourselves for Sevco, Hearts, Aberdeen and Hibs we'll still win the League by 10+ points.

I can't see any other team in the League getting more than 70-75 points and I cannot imagine us getting below 80, probably 85 at worst.

 

I know. I was just suckered in by our poor form and even the diets getting a good lead with that mob across also getting a few good results but facts are having seen then 3 game's on the box this week....they are * tragically * and lucky to get 1 win at Accies last week..

I'm confident we'll win it by a clearer margin than last season..

 

I'd predict

1. Celtic 82-87 points
2. 68-73 points
3. 65-70 points
4. 65-70 points
5. 60-65 points

Could be very tight between 2nd and 5th as Hearts, Kilmarnock, Hibs, Aberdeen and Sevco will probably all take points off each other and not get many points off us. The more they all draw with each other the more we'll win the League by.
