The fact is he has been backed, the wage bill shows this. The people on the bench are largely his players who, as far as I can remember, he talked up when they arrived. Well if you think he hasnt really been backed I have no idea what level the wage bill needs to get to for you to think he is being backed mate.

No idea JC but its irrelevant really as they recently skelped us with a team that has cost about the same as our most expensive signing ... that is a worry.

 

Scouting and recruitment is an issue, no doubt. With all parts of the management of our club at fault.

Lack of Development of younger players is defo something that can't be levelled at BR..

Ajer, KT, McGregor, Dembele, Ntcham & Rogic have all progressed under his tutoring..

 

Arrogance prevents learning from mistakes. I want a manager who is willing to learn from others and constantly self-improve.

 

I'd keep Ajer and place him with a new CB, Tierney at LB and a new RB

Been in this thread most of the day and some valid points have been made no doubt..

However, not one single poster can give me the name of anyone who could do a better job. And for me that's it in a nutshell..

He's the best we can get and we're lucky to have him.

 

I could name you an abundance of managers who could do a better job than him in Europe.

Realistically though I am not privvy to what managers could succeed him.

 

In fact, Lennon has proven he can do a better job than Rodgers in Europe.

I don't really understand this point as a sort of defence of the team/Rodgers. Just because we expected to lose doesn't mean that we should forget the performances.

Yes most of us expected to lose those games. But not in the manner in which we did.
