    I don't have expectations.

This is the issue. I'm not isolating this game alone. It's not just about Leipzig.

I've also Never said about us being dominant. If folk are happy for us to continue like.this though then we would be as well giving up now.

I don't think what I am saying is anything absurd. Performances aren't good enough. We get the same * each time and the same soundsbites from the club in addition to the same people using the same excuses to defend the players and management.

    It's tiresome as * tbh.

Van Dijk cost £1.5m, Wanyama less than Jack Hendry, Dembele was £500k compensation.

Good scouting and clever signings trumps the money for me.

RB Salzbergs wagebill and transfer fees are lowed than us. Who is getting the most bang for their back?

BR said Congerton’s in because he ‘discovered’ Neymar and Coutinho. Coutinho was signed from Inter Milan, he did say it was a few years earlier so maybe he just missed out on him then.

Neymar though was being raved about in Brazil since he was about 12.

And he never ended up playing for Rodgers.

Do you have faith between the two of them they could deliver that sort of value for money? Keep in mind even Dembele was in talks with us from the January when Ronny was in charge, Brendan’s stature in the game sealed it.

In terms of people continually bringing up his first season. That isn't current.

No matter how incredible. We have regressed. It's clear as day.

I'll reiterate again i like Rodgers and everything he is done but his stubbornness is frustrating at times and the club as a whole need to up their game. Thats all im saying.

Aye let's punt a man who has delivered...

    • Back to back trebles. One without losing a game.
    • 2/3 CL Qualifications and EL Qualification from a 3rd place finish.
    • Zero Cup Ties lost.
    • Zero losses v The Hun whilst serving up some proper skelpings.

Dembele, Ntcham and Edouard are good signings undoubtedly.

Sinclair has now got to the point where I'd argue he isn't. He's coining in £35k per week and can't even contribute in domestic games (fluffed 2 brilliant chances last weekend) You can't argue against his performances in his first season but he's done nothing to suggest he'll ever get back to that form for us.

Benkovic looks reasonable so far but it speaks volumes that he's on loan and yet has jumped the queue ahead of 2 CBs signed 8 months ago at a cost of £2.7 million.

The job he has done in developing our existing players has been sensational but thank * there was a pool of players there with the potential to be developed because we'd be in an even worse nick if we didn't

Sinclair was also top scorer last season and had a lot of assists, despite not actually playing well. That’s a major contribution to 2 trebles in a row. That’s a success even if it looks like he’s run his race here.

Are you happy where we are at this moment on the football field ?
Our finances have never been better but the standard of football so far this season has been disappointing and maybe we should be asking if the high earners have been value for money so far this season .

From where he got us started, first season was unreal, last season not quite the same heights but still very succesfull, this season has went further downhill but I can still see us being sharp when it comes to it in Scotland. There’s no denying it’s a downwards curve.

The question is was that first season that good that even going downhill from there year on year... Is it good enough?

    It still is for me.

    Even though it’s heavy annoying.

We've got to be honest with ourselves here, European football is beyond us. We will be lucky to make it out a CL group again in our lifetime. Europa League, I don't think last 16 is beyond us but that would depend on favourable draws. Unless something gives in a financial sense, I don't see that changing.

For that reason, I would prefer he stay. When he gets us going, domestically, we can be unreal to watch. As long as we perform on that front and qualify for the CL at least every second season, I would stick with him.

Nobody is saying he should be punted, and I think you know that.

Domestically, in terms of trophies, he's flawless. Everybody knows that. It's Europe that's the problem.

You're saying 2/3 CL qualifications as if that's some magnificent achievement. Rosenborg, Astana, Beer Sheva, AEK Athens...those are the teams we have come up against. I'd say anything less than 2/3 would be a failure. In fact, I'd be stunned if anybody said otherwise.

And, like I've said, there's been a clear regression both domestically and in Europe. In his first season we went toe to toe with Man City (twice) who had won every game up until they played us at Celtic Park. We got a point away in Germany as well. The second season we finished 3rd in the group but actually played worse. 1 win and 5 defeats. So we dropped into the EL and got a very respectable result at home against Zenit...before collapsing in the away leg.

This year we failed to qualify for the CL and so far have put in 2 miserable performances and got a late winner against Rosenborg at home.

Now is it because our squad is weaker? Well it's definitely a factor. However, yet again, much of that is down to Rodgers' recruitment. This is his third season and how many of his signings have been a total success? Dembele and Ntcham. Sinclair was for the first season and the start of the second season...been * pish for long enough now. Eddy is a talent so I'd imagine he'll do very well for us. That's 4...sort of.

Stop acting like everything is rosy and that people criticising Rodgers are * idiots.

Fair point. Suppose I was trying to sugar coat the negative comment given the success he has had domestically and the great memories he's given us the last 2 seasons.

In Europe, I expect us to be better drilled defensively, harder to beat, more aggressive, have more belief in our ability to get a result!

Not saying he's at fault, just highlighting how irrational it is to use him as an example of how competitive our squad is when, he doesn't play him for months on end and when he does we don't compete with the opposition.

He does need a bit of help from the board this january and we seem to be going backwards this season and with the money in the bank i hope we can bring in two centre halfs and a right back .

Him and Boyata * the first goal. Don’t blame him but, guys hardly played. Mistakes are to be expected. Same with Gamboa.
