No, I think you need to go and read a couple of pages back. You replid to a post of mine defending Neil Lennon with a post saying "lenny also failed to qualify twice" check that post of yours and what it is in response to.
I didn't, and still don't, get why that was pointed out in relation to my point

I'm not sure, mate. I look and I see a manager now expressing open frustration at not being backed. I also see a bunch of people on the bench on good wages that Brendan seems to have no interest in playing- presumably not his signings. The most extreme example of that is Compper. Given how Brendan has handled him, I can't believe for a second that was Brendan's signing. If you ask for a bottle of premium Belgian lager and I bring you back 5 cans of Tennant's Super for the same money, that spending clearly isn't your fault.

This happened to Lenny too. People hold signings like Pukki against him; but he was well down Lenny's list. Difference was Lenny still tried his best to give these guys game time for the sell on value; Brendan doesn't seem to do that.

Brendan was properly backed in that very first window (when we were in dire straits and desperately needed the CL money) and also in buying Edouard and making a genuine (albeit failed) attempt to sign Paddy*; but apart from that, I really don't think he has been backed at all.

* Two exceptions that prove the rule, since they were absolute no brainers: both players were here and the board could see for themselves how good they were as an investment and so didn't need to trust Brendan.

I did make a point. It was about Neil Lennon to a different poster then you replied to that with an aside attacking lennys record. That's why I replied with the head scratch, i didnt get why you deemed that comment necessary in relation to my point, still don't.

Thats not something I would see as a positive. The way we performed against them either they are unlucky/have improved greatly or we have been lucky/have seriously regressed.

 

2-0 away from home against the 5th best team in Germany? With all the injuries we have... I think you need to reevaluate your expectations slightly. We're just not that good. The team in Rodgers' first season wouldn't have beaten this team. They would probably come 3rd in this group tbh - just like we will this year. We don't have the resources to win away from home against a side like that in Europe. Or even be 'dominant'. It's just not going to happen.
It really frustrates me when we go away and get pumped in Europe and fans complain. What on earth do they expect?

 

I thought you were disputing the facts that why I clarified.. I'm not attacking Lenny's record, just pointing out facts.. what did you not understand?

 

It's a fact, BR has a better record in the CL than this much heralded Salzburg coach.
