Arzani is a lawwell signing that's why Rogers is not playing him and disagree with Wallace on the the champions league no chance of winning it since the big money has took over.

Was way OTT, Arzani will be gradually phased into our game through the proper process. He’s not exactly Charly Musonda ffs. @MagnificentSeven :fear:

I couldn't agree more. I'm afraid that Wallace just sounds like someone mouthing off to get his name in the paper. The only team to win the ECL in the last 20 years that are not mega rich were Porto (with Jose Mourinho and half the Portugal team).

BR is not being defeatist - just a realist. Unless the TV money changes or we move to a European league - qualifying for the lucrative group stages must be the goal.

Look what PSG and Barcelona did to us (among others) and WW thinks we should go for all out attack like 1967 - bollox.

He also talks rubbish about Arzani - he's 19 and has played 1 full season (24 games) for Melbourne City and has 14 caps in total (mostly as sub )for Aussie at all levels. I'm happy for BR to make the decision as to when he's ready.

There are some games where Tom Rogic is a passenger - however, at this point he is by far our most creative and visionary player.

All managers make transfer mistakes even Alex Ferguson bought some duffers.

Kouassi showed a lot of potential and we took a gamble - I'd loan him out to see how he goes.
Musonda had a massive ego and entourage and BR couldn't deal with him - good player with a lousy attitude.

I think Hayes is a good player at SPL level and was brought in to improve squad strength - been unlucky with injury.

We need a Dembele replacement and another creative MF. I am confident in BRs judgement there (Dembele, Edouard, Roberts, Morgan, Ntcham, Sinclair (first 1.5 seasons).

Personally - my main concern about BR is his poor choice in defenders (I know a lot of Liverpool fans who agree that this is his weak area). Compper is a disaster who will cost us about 3.5 million in total if we pay him off, Hendry looks like an Aberdeen standard player to me - never worth 1.5 million, Jozo has never recovered from the 4-0 Hearts display and should be off-loaded. Our 2 best centre halves are Boyota (about to leave for free in the Summer or a low-ball bid in Jan) and Benkovic (on-loan).

I've read reports that BR has admitted his mistakes and January will be busy. I hope if we get any sort of bid for Boyota (1m plus) that we take it rather than let him walk away for free. However, my worry is that BR will waste money on 1 or 2 defensive replacements that aren't good enough.

Frankly, I think he needs to get advice from (or bring in) a good defensive coach who can assist. On our Defense signings/tactics - BR, Chris Davies, Kennedy, Congerton et al have been found lacking - we cannot afford to go on spending good money on average/bad players.

Apparently 8 players will be shipped out in January, Arzani one of them and Boyata might get his move down South.

Totally agree, many should of been shipped out in the summer. It’s time for Rodgers to properly rebuild, still a lot players from the Ronny’s team.

Former Celtic striker Chis Sutton believes that Neil Lennon is the only man that should be considered as a potential replacement for Brendan Rodgers.

Speaking about a possible return to the club for Lennon, Sutton explains why he is the man for the job.

They say you should never go back but I’m absolutely convinced [Lennon] would. I can’t imagine he could say no and there’s no better character around with credentials as impressive who knows the workings of the cub and what the fans want. Lennon was the one who took the first three titles in this current run of seven.

Sutton is also not ruling out the prospect of Rodgers prolonging his stay at the club.

If Rodgers stays as he says he will, then that’s great for Celtic. But if he goes, there is only one place to look and that’s Lennon.

This follows claims from Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas, who claimed the club have their former boss on their radar as they begin to prepare for life without the former Liverpool boss.

Rodgers has attracted a lot of interest in the summer from England, while he also revealed he turned down a big-money offer from China.

It is not believed that a departure from the club is imminent, but the recent interest in Rodgers has sparked talk about who could replace him.

Lennon’s work at Hibernian has not gone unnoticed after guiding them back to the top flight.

Ahead of the meeting between the two sides this weekend, the teams are placed second and third in the league respectively.

Sadly, I fear Rodgers may be off at the end of the season.

If he does go, we could do worse than Lennon.

    Hope Brendan stays though.

Aye, I'm thinking the same to be honest. That summer will have been an eye-opener to him in terms of the ambition of the board and how far he can take us.

I also don't think it's just pure coincidence Sutton coming out with this, in my opinion he'll have heard murmurs behind the scenes and possibly spoke with both off-the-record.

Agree with you re Lennon, love the guy. He's much more tactically astute than he was when he left us and has also done pretty well in the transfer market with a shoestring budget at Hibs. He lost his best player and captain in McGinn then signed Mallan the next day and it's been an almost seamless transition.

Sutton is spot on there: hopefully Brendan stays longer; but if he goes, Lenny is the obvious choice at the moment.
