One too many shandy’s and a few lines of the devils dandruff tonight markybhoy and the old bitter hatred seeping through again?

Honestly though..... honouring your religious “tradushuns”

The mindset of a * hun is what you have.

Maybe sit and have a think why you are in the minority.

And next time you’re throwing a big fat line of cooncil up yer beak think “what would brother walfrid make of this”

You’re a bigot should be forcibly alienated from the community.

I’d tell you to go * yourself but that’s probably one of the sins you haven’t decided is okay to commit.

    Ok, i’ll ask, what does

    mean?

What statements/actions/rules/tweets/flags by the club/fans would constitute this and/or make you feel less alienated?

Awww, mate, I know from personal experience when you were a mod that you are a nice guy and I know from your posts over the years you certainly don't have a Hun mindset as some have inferred from your last post; but you are totally wrong on this.

I like to think Brother Walfrid would totally understand and support the concern many (but not all) Celtic fans have for the Palestinians. He would see the parallels. As for Gay Pride, my guess is he probably would think along the same lines as you, but he'd be wrong too. We are all men and women of our time and being a visionary in many respects doesn't mean you are ahead of your time regarding everything.

Catholic tradition has always been interpreted differently over the 2 millennia. It has to be, because the Bible is a collection of books by different authors and so contradicts itself on many issues (yes, there are even passages in the bible that seem to accept homosexuality as perfectly fine). Thanks to Paul, we don't need to be circumcised or keep Jewish dietary laws anymore (but they are still there in the Bible). Thanks to capitalism, the last few centuries our whole system has been founded on what Christian (and Muslim) tradition calls the sin of usury, yet it was condemned for most of the church's history (that's a tradition I'd like to see brought back TBH).

Like the church or any other tradition, what it means to support Celtic always has been and always will be reinterpreted by the fans of a given era. I think the common themes that have always been there are still clearly there TBH, Marky.
Food drives, charities, protest against injustice, community, a diverse and interesting songbook that puts most British clubs to absolute shame and, yes, Celtic fans also demand a certain level of creativity on the park that is unusual in Scotland.

    It's still Celtic.

I sense you are feeling down and guess you are going through a tough time. I hope things get better for you soon, mate.

You are such a * relic.

The Palestinian cause is a current issue where millions live in a state of complete isolation, in desperate need of help and support. It should humble you that the Celtic support gets behind such a noble endeavour to highlight the plight of these poor unfortunate souls when the rest of the political world backs their oppressor.

As for your archaic anti-gay pish, people the world over are persecuted for their sexual orientation, and again it is right that our support lies with them.

Our Catholic origins are exactly that - part of our history. Fact is that fewer and fewer of our support are catholic. The importance of it is dwindling. That's where it ends though. If you think Catholic dogma should be rife amongst the support, then you are massively mistaken. The catholic faith is a dinosaur. It's belief system is archaic and will be the reason it dwindles to ineffectiveness.

I respect anyone's rights to hold religious beliefs, but that support ends when their beliefs impinge on the rights of others.

If society goes down the route of supporting Palestine and gay rights instead of religious fervour, then society will be better off

I think that people who promote love and tolerance and fight against injustice honour the ethos of our club and its founders more than you do with your bigoted views.

If your religious beliefs have embittered you to such an extent that you begrudge Palestinian children who have lost everything moral and financial support, then you have to question their value.

Anyone that can't see the parallels between Palestine and the origins of Celtic - which are intimately bound up in the Irish struggle - is either blind or stupid.

As for gays... didn't Jesus preach about love and tolerance?

Any Catholic, or any Christian for that matter, who is prejudiced against gay people is not properly adhering to their faith.

Any Christian who believes all gays should be strung up isn’t worthy of being paid attention to.

This vile * should have been banned long ago.

Has anyone on here actually said that?

Because it's just out-and-out bigotry no different from being up to your knees in * blood.

He alluded to it years ago but stopped short by saying he’d be permanently banned if he said what he thinks ‘should really happen to them’.
