Not just that, McGregor at the end breaking the lines and going in behind as others dragged people forward and wide. There was a lot of things we seen tonight that has been missing.

Cept we missed the opportunities we should have buried

The major plus was we were creating them though, and how many of them were certainties usually..

    Very good signs..

Hopefully clicks in to gear on Saturday against a sheep side who were dominated and scraped through after extra time and penalties away at Easter Road..

Defo created much more, which was pleasing and much needed..

Teams have learned not to press us at all as we destroy them, every side bar none sits so deep with two banks of 5 across the middle. So it was refreshing to see him use Griff & Edouard...

For me the way teams set up against us and then our subsequent inability to react to those teams has been the main reasons for uninspiring performances. So variety in tactics is an absolute necessity..

There is no better team to start a good run of form against than the sheep. We could be on a 8 game losing streak with hendry and simunovic starting away to pittodrie and i'd still be confident of smashing them.

BR on sending off: "I watched it back after. It’s a stupid red card. He had enough opportunities not to get sent off. Dedryck feels as if he should’ve had a free-kick but didn’t get it. Not what we would want to be honest.

BR on Semi-Final date: "They’ll have to look at that as it presents a problem with the midweek game. We’ll let them sort that out.

Been reported a few places that there was a big meeting with him, Lawwell and Desmond. Hopefully he has set them straight after the shocking window we have had and will be backed properly from now on.

More likely scenario is that he was given an ultimatum to start getting results or he is off. After the transfer window, Lawwell is still employed at the club. There seems to be no way for him to be held responsible for any failures.:38:

I doubt Celtic would dream of sacking Rodgers at this stage, even if he had lost last night. Rodgers would most likely use the results as evidence as to why he should have been backed when he needed to be in the window. Im being an optimist here though and hoping he is laying down the law to them.

If he wanted to pressure then he should do that completely publicly, so the fans can stand behinds his demands. Silent demands will get ignored, and then he could only walk away.

He already did and it doesn't look good for anyone. Maybe this meeting was to draw a line under it and get things sorted, they will not want to lose him so he has that to bargain with.

Got told last week that PL and the accountants aren't happy at the wage bill and how much is going out, can bet Rodgers is wanting the transfer policy sorted pronto though and DD needs to get Pete told.

Oof that doesn't sound good in Rodgers side of it, he'll be on the phone to that Chinese mob "How much was it you were wanting to pay me again?".

Rodgers moaning about the transfer policy is ironic as *.

We’ve went to absolute * in that department since he took it over with his pal Congerton. The last thing we should be doing is giving them big money to spend.

We’ll end up with John Souttar and Graeme Shinnie.

Tbf the wage bill is higher than it probably should be, especially given the quality of some of the players.

Who says they will ? They could do or they maybe stay the same, who knows. Some contracts also have yearly increases built in as well. The recent contract extensions won't have been cheap either, I would imagine. Granted Dembele is gone but I would reckon the contract extensions used that saving, so its back to having him wage wise, if that makes sense.

Well aye they would, if they leave/dont get new contracts/reduced salary but they would need replaced by other players if they leave. It's difficult to downsize a wage bill especially if you have players brought in on very good wages who won't get that at their next club, so they just sit tight ie Bobo Balde (although he should have been * playing and we would have won the league that year).
