He is not learning from his mistakes..

if he continues to make schoolboy errors then the management should make him train with the under 18's and all the other school kids

Crazy that a year ago I wanted shot of Boyata (still do, other reasons now) and thought we couldn't do much worse. Step up Jack Hendry.
Sure the lads a nice guy and all that, but he ain't remotely Celtic level. Celtic level being way above SPFL dross.

We tried, you tried, it didn't work out. No hard feelings, know the lads trying his bets, but just isn't good enough.

Don’t like the abuse he’s getting, because the boy is trying his best and is a Celtic player.

That said, he isn’t good enough.

To give him some due... don't think he put a foot wrong after he came on. Dare him to do it again.

Was stronger in the tackle and don't think he gave the ball away..

Keep it simple like that and he may do ok as backup filling in now and then :fear:

Like Efe, if he sticks to the basics, he's not half-bad.

He really needs to be playing at a club where he's going to make at least 30 appearances a season. I would send him down to the Championship and let him come up against some experienced, physical strikers. He needs to learn the basics and start putting hia body on the line when needs be.

I would just get rid if it weren't for that fact we have so few cbs, and the ones we have seem to be getting injured a lot recently.

He'll never make it here, he's just not good enough and never will be.

If he were 20 years old I would agree but he'll be 24 by the end of this season. We can't sit about for years waiting on the hope of him turning into a strong, dependable centre back, especially when there's so little evidence that it's ever likely to be the case.

We should move him on if we can. Undoubtedly it'll be for a big financial hit. Ludicrous signing for the cost given that he'd left on a free from League 1 Wigan 6 months prior and had 6 months of hardly earth-shattering form at Dundee. Brendan carries the can for this one.

Aye, I want this lad to do well and really want to give him the chance but sadly I don't think it's coming off for him and when, even now, we've got guys like Boyata, Ajer and Benkovic (fair enough he's a loanee) all generally far more composed and more suited to our CB role then he's not going to get any better I think.
