Guys been a key member of teams that have won 7 leagues in a row, has competed in the last stages of Europe, was one of the reasons we got our first ever away win in the Champions League, has played 300 games for us.

Major player in going donestically unbeaten, one of the major reasons we have won 2 Trebles in a row.

    7 SPFL trophies
    4 Scottish Cups
    3 League Cups
2 x Young Player of the Year awards

    Only 27 as well.

Very few players in Celtic’s history can match his achievements for us.

He’s a legend. People tend to forget just how legendary a time this is for the club.

We’re due a * screamer against them. Best I can think of under Brendan is Griffiths’ effort at ibrox

The big difference with Henke is that the money he was on with us was comparable to what he would have received elsewhere at that time. That has completely changed now, we are nowhere near competitive in wages with what gets thrown around in other leagues any more. I doubt at the moment the money is a big factor for him, but if he has a family in a few years that may well change.

And the big difference between Henrik and KT is, with all due respect, Henrik was easily in the elite of the elite bracket whilst at Celtic in his peak which no other outfield player has been in circa 40 years.

I don't really get your point? Do you think that if Henke was here now on his £40k a week and Man U offered him £100k+ a week he'd still have stayed? I don't. And it's not even the elite of the elite that's on those kind of wages down south currently.

My point is KT isn’t Henrik Larsson, basically.

And you don’t know he would leave, you’re surmising Henrik stayed because of the money despite the fact he could get the money elsewhere whilst he won the Champions League and the Premiership. He stayed for the legacy and what an entirely vindicated decision he made.

My point was that he didn't have to leave for the money as we were paying the same (roughly) as the top teams at that time, where now we pay nothing like it. But this is a James Forrest thread and we are getting way off topic.

The guy will go down as a Celtic legend.

I'm sure him and brown are here for 10 in a row, hopefully Brendan too

Didn't we have one of the highest wage bills in the UK(europe) in the early 2000's?

Probably as were also one of the richest teams in Europe back then, I think until about 2006 we were always one of the top 20 richest teams in Europe.

Now we're lucky if we are in the top 100.
