    Exactly the type of player we need.. older with experience and good physique. He speaks very well about the club and at his age he knows this is as good as it will get for him. Just wish we could have signed some defenders with the same experience & stature, we are ok on the left side but the rest of the line is severely lacking

    Think he will be able to step in and give Broony a much needed rest throughout the season

    That's probably unfair of me and I have nothing against the lad. However when you go a full * transfer window desperate for us to spend a bit of money bringing in genuine class in defence and end up with a free transfer for a midfielder from * Kilmarnock... * off isn't the * phrase to describe my feelings on this one.

    He is better than McGinn right now, but you are right, he is the wrong side of 30. I am pretty happy with signing him though, he is the kind of midfielder we need at the moment.

    If he had waited until the English transfer window closed - a couple of days - he would have been a Celtic player or as good as one.

    I agree that we should have signed a replacement for Armstrong (Powell?) in addition to Mulumbu though.
