if any player should have been rested today it was probably him, worst performance from him in a long time.

Ive noticed that for a bit with his free kicks and corners ... they either dont beat the first man or are way too high alot of the time.

Or good timing? Usually after an off game he has a blinder. Here's hoping.

Best player on the park tonight.

Can’t remember him losing the ball at all. He’s started to take the ball in on the turn like Rogic does which extends our attacking moves.

Cant say I agree with one single part of that. Thought he was absolute pants and couldn't stop losing the ball.

CM A big week and the players and manager know that. The players are desperate to put it right, starting from Sunday, and we’ll be doing everything we can to get a positive result.

CM: "Obviously the stats don’t lie, but off the back of two unbelievable seasons, when it was almost fantasy football at times we were playing, it can’t always be the standard. We all try to get there but realistically you’re going to get a dip in performance or results."

CM: "We know how hard it is to get that level and the boys are working hard to try and achieve that. The players are desperate to get back to winning ways and to get through this tie next week. In the space of seven days, we could be having a different conversation."

CM on recent criticism: "You have to take it on the chin. We know the goals we’ve conceded lately haven’t been good enough and, as a professional and a player, you have to take that criticism."

CM: "I’ve always had a good relationship with the players, coaching staff and the manager - you accept criticism when it’s due, and that’s how you get better.

CM: "We’re always open with each other in the group, going back to the manager and then coming to us. It’s important we have that communication, accept criticism, move on from it and become better players and people

CM: "That’s part of football, you’re going to get criticised at times and it’s about how you bounce back and deal with it.

CM on defensive slip-ups: “It’s just about getting back to that confidence and taking pride in our defending as a team, pressing from the front, with the strikers and midfielders doing their bit, and obviously if it gets to the defenders they can clear it up.

CM: "It’s very much a team effort. The boys are working hard and we’re going back to the pressing drills in training to set the solid foundations, so when we go into the games, we feel comfortable."

CM: "We’ve been so successful and when you go through a sticky patch the confidence wavers a bit, but there are good players in there and we’ve shown that we can come back from bad results and tough situations, such as going down to 10 men and winning games."

CM: "Seven days is a long time in football and you win on Sunday and then get through to the Europa League on Thursday, and everyone is having a different conversation.

CM: "It’s important for everyone to stay positive and the players in there are certainly positive, and the manager will be as well, that we can turn it around."

"We're going back to the pressing drills"

Why would we stop doing them in the first place?

Been talked about to death that we don't press at all anymore, and was one of our biggest strengths first season particularly..

    Very very strange..

I remember Rodgers saying that he tried to mix training up to keep the players interested. Could be that?

good to see he sounds a bit up beat compared to Gordon and Rodgers but yeah the hole thing about the pressing?

Why stop it ? just cause we got good at it? weird

the bonus ive took from what they 3 have said is they seem to be making it clear they all know what the issues are and are trying to rectify it , i suppose you have to look at the postives they are taking to eradicate the errors rather than head in the sand stuff

That would be fine but we've totally neglected it..

Never see us pressing or hunting in packs..

    It's just odd..

Good point, most of the time crisp and low into a corner.
