Think the negativity surrounding the signing of Mulumbu is typical of this window. He signs for any other team it's a good deal. But my *, the fake news is as anti-Celtic as it could be. All news bots seem to have signed up for Sevco lol.
All negative PR. When you look at Tottenham, who also had a quiet window they surely can't win the league making no signings, well they can.
Sevco get two sent off today and crawl into the group stages, nothing but positivity. You can see the BBC asking the question, can Celtic follow in Sevco's footsteps lol.
THis is how it's so obviously fake news left, right and centre. Dodgy copywriting.
The other day we were selling Dembele and a player was to be used in the swap deal. Only HITC reported it, then the next day the redaction, "He doesn't want to sign for Celtic." No quotes, no comments just purely creative copywriting integrated with blogging fake news clickbait stories. Daft thing is we've all clicked on them and gave them ad revenue.

"We were always on the lookout for a really aggressive number eight to play midfield," Rodgers said.

"Youssouf was exceptional last year, he was very keen to come and play at a huge club and fits the profile and has the experience of being up here. All being well, it'll be a really good move for us."

    Good to hear..:50:

Like for like I’m with @Padmill he’s a far superior footballer to McGinn. I don’t even think it’s close.

McGinn’s upside was his age, the team he’s supported all his puff and the development left in him.

At this point aye but as you point out there's about an 8 or 9 year age gap. This definitely was never going to have been our first choice option. Clearly.

Could be a shrewd signing but I'm not overjoyed with it.

The irony is that both him and Izzaguire could be our two best signings this summer purely because they mean that both Tierney and Brown get rests over a season which should help big time.

Board should always have had an alternative or two lined up, in case McGinn deal wasn't gonna come to fruition.

I'm happy we've signing him, in any case. Good short term fix and will add a bit more bite, which we sorely need.

We've probably been forced into scouring the free market for players like this but it might just turn out to be a much better outcome than spunking "x" on McGinn.

    I'm happy.
