I seriously doubt he'll go, but I thought Maloney would stay - so who really knows?

I like to think/hope if the £4-5M price being banded about is true that we would at least put in an enquiry for Dunne.

I think he will stay for a few more years, or until we start playing bad and doing nothing much in the Champions League then he will move on probably to one of your Newcastle, Aston Villa clubs. :38:

I don't see McGeady going anywhere for another few years yet. Maybe when this contract is coming to an end when he is 26 but not now.

Sure he a true Celtic supporter but that isn't enough to hold onto a player like McGeady. I think he will stay because unlike Maloney McGeady realises he is developing very well at Celtic and that by being one of the focal players in our team and with Champions League football he can continue to develop at Celtic at last for another 2-3 years.

Bottom line I think he will stay because he knows it is in his best interest from a footballing development standpoint.

he is nowhere near fully developed yet. Is still poor at decision making and final ball IMO. I reckon he is two years away from being fully developed yet. Was one of our most off-form players in our run-in. He has come on a lot this season but I doubt he would do well in the EPL until he irons out those problems. He is a good player but a lot of his dribbling doesnt do much more than get us up the park a bit. Harsh maybe but he has a long way to go IMO.

You got to laugh when you hear teams like Sunderland trying to buy your best players. We're not like the huns we aren't a selling club, Im sure he will be with us for a good few years yet, he still has alot to learn.

He will probably stay and I hope he does.

However if a massive transfer fee could be sought for him then it maybe a huge benefit to take the money and re-invest in quality and strengthen in two or three areas of the team.

For example I would like to see Maloney and Petrov brought back along with Faddy joining them. If it meant we had to sell one asset to bring in three quality players then it may make sense to do so.

I think he'll stay. He'll look at Maloney's situation and realise that now is not the right time to move. McGeady is a real tim too and I am confident he'll show a bit of loyalty.

I agree, I don't see him moving until he maybe see's himself as close to the finished article in case he ends up as a Maloney or Liam Miller.

I'd say he would be close to that in approx 3 years.

Agree with that.Maloney seems to have been unsettled since he moved and he appears to have some regrets about his decision.

I think if and when McGeady decides to go,he might be aiming a bit higher than the likes of Sunderland.

For me , even though I was previously critical of him, he is our best player. If someone offered a crazy figure like £15m then I'd maybe be tempted but we've got to look at keeping our best players.

I would say from te start of the season up to the Barca home game Aiden was unplayable.

However after that night he has been disapointing. His final ball has been woefull and his decision making has been poor.

Perhaps he has played to much football and he faded a little. However you could look at it the other way and say he hit a purple patch for the first half of the season.

I think he is our best outfield player and I agree with you we need to keep hold of our best players. However IMO if selling a valuable asset means being able to improve the team collectively by using the money to strengthen two or three positions then it may not be such a bad Idea.

Anyhow I am not to sure if buying back Maloney and bringing in Faddy instead of McGeady would not prove to be more productive.

BTW we would probably have a surplus of 5 or 6 mill left over to invest on another position.

best thing about maloney not doing well is it serves as a warning to aiden not to leave too early.
