Where exactly did I say I want him out, but you did say that Rodgers was a higher profile manager than O’Neill. Now that’s an opinion not an actual fact, on what exactly are you basing this opinion on other than him taking Liverpool into second place or Swansea to the top league.

I would say that O'Neill was higher profile, we took him from Leicester where he had been fairly successful with 2 League Cups. With Rodgers he hasn't won anything Major and was out of a job. I think Rodgers may come across as more high profile after the failure Mowbry was, Lennon coming from within and budget Deila.

Brendan Rodgers is the standard of manager who should be managing Celtic, as was Martin O'Neill. Celtic weren't, and aren't, lucky to have either.

We've just been conditioned to think otherwise due to Lawwell's dictatorship.

O'Neill's league finishes were winning the play offs in the Championship and then 9th, 10th, 10th and 8th in the Premier League - I think its fair to say they can be described as 'mid-table' finishes.

Brendan's were winning the play offs in the Championship and then 11th (with Swansea), 7th, 2nd and 6th. With a club like Liverpool, who, even at the time had a much bigger profile than Leicester.

I get that we have this idea of MON, which is totally understandable and I do as well but pre Celtic he was essentially a mid table manager who won the Carabao cup a couple of times with a provincial team. He obviously went on to do great things with us. Brendan unquestionably had the higher profile pre Celtic.

The gentleman in your profile picture wasn't a Catholic. If that's your attitude, I suggest you change it.

So twice out of three seasons Rodgers finished basically just above mid table with Liverpool, whilst O’Neill finishes just below that with Leicester plus wins two league cups but Rodgers is higher profile in your opinion. And you haven’t factored in for the big money difference in the leagues from each era, it’s a totally different league from O’Neill coming to us than Rodgers being sacked at Liverpool.

If youre bringing money into it then it completely leans towards Rodgers. Celtic were able to offer much closer to Premier League salaries back then than they are now, so much more chance of someone of that stature coming here back then than now. Can you imagine any Prem manager coming to us now? Nope - purely for monetary reasons.
