Yeah but who are the 6 though?

Arzani (loan, looks very raw, unlikely to make an immediate improvement on the first team)

Eddy (good signing, but the fact that he was already playing for us last year doesn’t improve the squad for this season)

    Morgan (signed in January)

Izzy (good back up, but doesn’t improve the first team)

Bain (has been with us since January, sub keeper)

I’m missing number 6?! Obeflex, or whatever his name is? He’s only a kid though.

I think the main gripe is with the fact that we haven’t improved the starting 11.
In fact, with Armstrong and Paddy gone, the squad has actually weakened since last season.

He talks about quality over quantity, however out of those 6 signings not one is a guaranteed starter, including Eddy.

    We need better signings!

I agree with you, it’s so frustrating.

The annoying thing is that we only really NEED 2 players in. Get a good CB and RB we're pretty much ok. Or even 2 good CB and play alongside lustig/gamboa, knowing that they can cover any slip up.

Get those in this window and then prep (properly!!!) for next. No reason to panic buy * for the sake of it in this window.

I think all the signs point to a marquee Centre back signing on Deadline day.

Lawell knows he has to. To appease the fans and Rodgers.

    I expect at minumum that.

We will sign nobody, but then Rodgers will leave, and Lawwell will face a shitstorm. We'll be in turmoil short term, but long-term, it will make us stronger when the fat * gets forced out.

Can't see Rodgers staying beyond next summer if we don't sign anyone in the next few days. He was clear from the outset what he wanted - which weren't unreasonable demands - and has since made 2 ultimatums that don't appear to have been heeded.

If we lose the best manager we've had since MoN down to this then Lawwell should be hunted immediately...infact he should really be hunted regardless.

Think everyone feels the same, this will be his last season.
Who do we get in to land the 10 though ? No doubt it’ll be Lenny or Clarke

There is also the more recent interview with Rodgers where he says there will be few in before the window. Surely they must be going to get thta business done... please.

Not sure to be honest. As much as they're both Celtic men and realistically should be jumping at the chance, they'd have their reservations that we've gave our Double Treble winning manager a summer transfer budget of £0. Completely scunnered.

I think Lenny would walk here from Hibs the day he was asked, Lawell restrictions or no, but Clarke would maybe hesitate.
Who else would be in contention ?

Tell you something. There will be * all waiting list for season tickets next season if we don't pull off something miraculous in the next 2 days.

We'll be lucky to sell about 30k. If there's that many happy clappers left by then.

He was desperate for the job before Brendan came, it was no secret at the time how much he wants it. He’ll always want back.

As soon as Brendan Rodgers becomes one of the 5/6 managers to walk under Peter Lawwell's dictatorship, Lawwell will just start dropping lines about how we overspent having Rodgers here and then make a wee joke about Sevco and Rangers spending - before making the support feel special by publicly revealing the 'blueprint' to get us through all this overspending.

Alan Stubbs (Lawwell's choice, before Dermot Desmond gazumped him and brought in Rodgers) will be appointed, and the support will rejoice.
