I’m not defending it but that is a bonus not an increase in salary, they are two totally different things. But what I will say is no CEO should be on more than the players on the park ie the product.

 

I count them as the same thing, as there is virtually nothing which will stop him from getting it. I understand what you're saying though.

the CEO of any business generally gets paid way more than any other employee(the players are only employess) including huge bonuses if the company are doing well and Celtic are doing very well as a business.Its the way the other half live im afraid

 

Who judges what is an adequate performance, and if he was at fault? The ever absent Dermot Desmond?

It’s quite easy check the accounts under the Deila seasons, but you see a performance related bonus as part of a basic salary so * knows what you might come up with next.

 

No of course its not certainly not where we the fans are concerned as there is huge emotional attachment to our club .but do the businessmen(because thats what they are ordinary businessmen) at the top of the club see it like that?I doubt it?

I wasn’t talking about the fans and emotion, football is not your run of the mill business. Sports companies are basically selling the product on the field ie it’s assets which are the players. Now run along and find me all those CEO’s that you said are on more than their in employees, but here’s the catch it’s sports business I’m asking here.

You are arguing with one user that Lawwell doesn't deserve what he is paid, yet telling me that the payment he receives is fine as he wont get it if Celtic do badly.

Ps, his bonus was lower under Deila because no one was buying tickets to games, not because the ever absent Dermot Desmond decided performances were not up to standard.
