None of them were signed instead mate. Imagine we payed £5m for this * assuming he’d solve our defensive problems and he put in lustig performances

 

The boyata fiasco seems to have taken the focus off the pathetic attempts to strengthen the team the fact remains quality defenders should have been brought in long before he went on strike and it shouldn't have made a blind bit of difference if he refused to play or not.
5 days to go and we are still in a weaker state than we were last season !!

he needs 4 in minimum, the defence needs a lot of work and Roberts and Armstrong are going to badly missed judging by our foward play so far

 

Armstrong is going to really be missed; his penetrating runs from deep is something that is quite hard to find generally. He was especially good at breaking the deep defensive lines we come up against every week.

 

Is he thinking Christie is perhaps the natural successor to Armstrong? I thought he played in that CAM role?

 

Christie should be given a shot if he can do something. Armstrong was the type to run in support of forwards- Christie does seem mobile, and skilled on the ball.

 

We better sign at least one of these CBs we're linked with. Preferably a RB too.

With Rodgers saying he wants a centre back in even if Boyata stays, confirming interest in Moukoudi, and Stephen McGowan claiming Benkovic would come in only if Boyata left, I think the idea is to get both of them and punt Boyata.

I watched their game against Espanyol this weekend and Piccini was 100% at fault for Espanyol's second goal totally caught sleeping on the weak side allowing an Espanyol player to nip in front of him and score.
