Kolo toure was never on the same level as Terry.

 

He did well for Villa last year and captained them to the Play-off Final. If he's not done yet I'd take him.

 

Said I'd of taken him when first linked, before the quals, when it looked likely we didn't have any impending CB arrivals.

Not even that arsed now, what he was needed for really has been and gone. If the transfer department are really that devoid of ideas though, then sign him up.

If he's interested, he would be a solid left sided option. Ajer will learn, and if Boyata grovels and signs up, Boyata - Ajer - Terry could be a good back three.

For a start, there is no comparison between a prime Kolo and a prime Terry. Terry was genuine great, one of the best of his generation.

Right now, if it's John Terry or Brendan to go out and sign a Compper/Gamboa/Hendry.... Looks a no-brainer.

 

He’s exactly what we need. An experienced CB. He’d improve anyone of our guys he’s partnered with. Even Hendry, he’d give him that leadership in defense that he needs.

 

Terry, if he wants to be here and play, is already an improvement over Boyata. Get him in.

He was world class and won everything at club level. At his peak he * all over Toure, sorry. Could ping 70 yard diagonals with either foot, easily..

Great defender but the guy is a * scumbag. Racist, egotistical bully who probably hates everything we stand for. I wouldn't support a guy who I've openly called a * for the whole of his career, regardless of how good he would be for us on the park.

Said he always liked Celtic and his brother Huns. No uncommon and most (or a lot of) English back in the day had us or them as a second team, or likeness of some sort..

 

At least one of them is plausible.

 

I still find that hard to believe mate. He's a Chelsea fan, might prefer us to the Huns (which is why I'm struggling, they're the 'blues brother's' after all) but I doubt hes ever sung the Sam song while pished up down in landan.
