He's probably genuinely worried that we will get beaten by Sevco in current state.....aren't we all

Yes. And that in itself is a disgrace, the board, the manager and especially the players should be ashamed of themselves.

If indeed he is broken, was betrayed by the board, who made him look like a fool, why doesn't he speak out? Just once, say what he means instead of "quality instead of quantity"? He directed a very small amount of criticism against the board only to be followed by compliments and about how their relation is excellent.

The problem already starts on the fact that a Celtic manager has to be subservient to a board that doesn't have the best intentions for the club. People who care about the club and dont accept this leave like Lennon did. In fact, for the more I am criticizing him, if BR leaves we are doomed. We are going to sign someone really cheap and with a low reputation, perhaps worse than Deila, because this is how Lawwell operates. The only hope is Brendan learns from his mistakes and challenges the board but I am not expecting that.

Nostalgia? He’s won six out of six domestic trophies and 2/3 CL Qualification.. his record is better in than any Celtic manager since Stein..

If we lose the league this season, then we need a clear out from top to bottom... starting with Lawell and BR too..

Brendan should never have signed that 3 year deal, if he'd stuck to a rolling one year deal maybe the board would be trying to keep him happy more. Scary thing is that Brendan actually said if we don’t get players in he'd just work with what we had, music to lawwells ears

In a way I agree with that but then another way has me thinking that's shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. As in, the 10 is such a huge deal that if at any point that seriously looks in jeopardy then we have to act.

Just to be clear though, i am not saying that's the case as things currently stand. Purely if's, buts and maybes.

Won 2 of our last 7 games.

And they were against a first division team and Livingston managed by Kenny Miller :56:

Just on the Boyata 9m bid turning turn:

Yes if BR turned that down, it’s a massive mistake and one that beggars belief so much so that it needs greater analysis.

For example why did BR, as we know a clever and astute football man feel it wasn’t worth taking.

If we were all honest before the World Cup not many would value him above the 5-6m bracket especially with his contract running down.

We all know having Boyata before his ‘stunt’ wasn’t worth losing that money for one years service.

Timing is also crucial the bid came in just after the Mcginn farce and Brendan quite rightly was * off with the boards incompetence to conclude the deal.

So leads me to believe rightly or wrongly that BR felt that selling Boyata for 9m although sounds like great business wasn’t worth it in his opinion because we wouldn’t get in a player off equal or better pedigree. Therefore his faith in the board releasing the funds required wasn’t there.

So what Boyata has done since the bids been rejected has weakened Brendan’s case in keeping him, but the board have also shown up to have reluctance in releasing the funds to sign the 3-4 players this squad and our manager requires.

So I honestly don’t pin the blame 100% on BR shoulders on turning that bid down If he feels it wouldn’t have been fully reinvested into the playing squad.

There is bordering on mass hysteria in some sections of the Celtic support. The Huns have made a few signings, which, granted make them look stronger, but this almost panic from our own fans across social media etc is crazy. It's a long season, and just because we've had a disappointment in Europe and lost to Hearts, it doesn't mean our title is at risk right now. We're on a wee bad run of form, and could do with a signing or two to freshen it up and get the fans excited again, but I have every faith in the manager. The same guy who has won us back to back trebles, one of which was Invincible. Glasgow is Green and White and doesn't look like changing any time soon.
