going to the back 3 actually hurt us since Tierney had to stay back as part of it. Sinclair tried but Tierney was better.

Easily our motm, only slight worry I have is how much time he's in the gym.

He is looking far better built, but hopefully that is him, was sensational in 1st half, but his legs seem to lose all power in the 2nd half, even before switching t CB. He had that pace to get past but seemed to have no power in his crossing don't think he hit a decent cross in the whole 2nd half.

He did do a power of work in the 1st half, still think we're overloading him, we especially did in that 1st half.

From Emilio‘s interview on the Celtic website.

With home-grown hero, Tierney, currently ahead of him in the pecking order at left-back, Izaguirre understands he may not start every week, but, for him, what’s best for the team takes precedence over individual ambitions.

I’ve played with KT for five years and I always tried to help him and we learned from each other, and I’m happy to help him learn.

“I’m very happy as Tierney is my boy. I always tried to stay in touch with him and help him, and I’m happy to help him progress. I want to help him become the best left-back in the world. I want to help him and Celtic, which is the most important thing.

“He (Tierney) wanted to be a big player. He needs to continue to work hard and keep doing the things he did last year, and he can be the best player in his position in the world.

Need to start pairing him up with a winger, we're giving him far too much to do, Dracula is better with crosses than him now, keep him back with the occasional forage forward, CM offered him no protection at all and no outball too.

Also getting very very slack defensively too, * poor for Hearts goal and was sleeping for their first goal tonight, mind you so was CM.

Let him excel in what he's being doing previously, I think his overall play has dramatically fell in past wee while now.

Thought Lustig terrible for the first goal weak pathetic in stopping the cross, but KT was defo slow to react and unaware of the danger around him.. McGregor too..

He was poor defensively. Got done a couple of times by their winger and looked painfully slow reacting to it.

He was trying to watch about four men and has started to be shunted about positions as Brendan tries to work out his defence. Despite all this, he was still one of the very few players to get pass marks.

He was * for the first goal, love the guy but he’s just as much to blame as the rest in defending that goal, 5 guys in the box and we couldn’t prevent it.

If he recieves the ball within 30 yards of their byline then he is outstanding. He needs to be playing wing back and be on the attack most of the time. Get him one on one with a full back and he is extremely effective. He is bang average playing in a back four and receiving the ball on the half way line or in our own half. Most of the time passes it backwards and his defending from a deep position is poor at times.

    3-5-2 please

Didn't really link up with McGregor like the home to to get forward and get crosses into the box. Then when he did we scored :31:

That * we have Izaguirre only a month away from being up to speed so that if this happens 6 weeks or so from now we have a natural left-back to replace him with.
