Craig Gordon

Is he though? How many games has he actually played? I don't remember seeing him and thinking this guy looks quality with the ball at his feet. He's just another average goalie.

If you want to carry on this delusional pish that he isn't better with the ball at his feet, crack on. It ultimately led to the freekick for the second goal, such was the pressure he kept putting us under but whatever..

 

I'm no defender of Gordon, but calling me delusional is a riddy when you don't even know how many times you've seen your alternative play. Neither are good options and something else that should have been addressed, but Gordon at least has a proven record of pulling of huge saves in big games.

And then Bain will make one mistake and everyone will be fawning over Gordon again. Unless a proper replacement is found for Gordon he's undeniably our best option. Bain is obviously a very cheap back up to Gordon.

 

His kicking is one of the few things in life that angers me, he obviously won't get replaced this window and he's still a great shot stopper, but if we want to progress we need to replace him come january or at the very latest next summer.

 

He would be better off giving it straight to the opposition than to Hendry, easier to cut out the middle man.

Joking aside, trying to blame him for tonight is ridiculous. The movement in front of him was atrocious, we have only one defender who looks like a footballer and we want to blame the goalkeeper for kicking a couple of balls out of play. * *! I know we want to blame every * at the club, but let's keep some semblance of sanity.

 

The biggest liability in our defence. He has a knack of making decent saves looks special because of his acrobatics. Better suited to a circus than a football team although they're a few in front of him who would not look out of place in a circus.

I'm blaming him for the lead up to their second, absolutely. 3 kicks on the trot he put us under pressure..

 

And every time he was put under pressure by others passing the buck and putting him under pressure. All game he was receiving balls that should have been nowhere near him because Jozo and Hendry can't pass a ball forward without giving it away. It wasn't that he was struggling to play out from the back, it was that he was struggling with us playing front to back.

There are plenty of times where he has deserved criticism, this is not one of them.

 

We give him too much of the ball, fkn stupid from us, you give a goalie that much of the ball There'll be more mistakes.

We'll not get better.

Watched Man City the other day, goalie could've cost 3 goals in less than 10 mins, this goalkeeper with passing is a fkn myth.

 

He’s needed replaced for about 3 years now. Can’t count on him when it really matters, imo. Does make a good save now and again but he’s becoming a bit of a liability, especially with his kicking.
