Says it all really , as a Celtic fan just wrong side of 50 big feeling of Déjà vu , we have always failed to invest from a position of strength and our board have always been tight kants , the best we can hope for is a few appeasement signings in defence and not to lose any of our quality upfront

Exactly. Pure drama queens in here. UEFA made it as difficult as possible to qualify.

I'll.be honest sometimes, I'd rather play teams like Zurich, Lazio, Milan and win. That get a group of 3 clubs 2 of which horse us. I know those big nights with your Barcas etc are amazing. But we don't have the squad for it. Hopefully tonights result means we so some business in the window and strengthen. I'll be at the games for Europa, hoping we qualify.

 

some positives after lustig went off i thought we played better and looked solid at the back and hendry had a great showing at right back it looks in the short term hes our right back for me

Complete with the utter lack of penetration in attack until Moussa came on. Seven Scots started and Scotland has been failing for 20 years now. We don't have the best pool of talent to draw from, that's for sure.

Athens had 2 chances and took them, Gordon never had a save to make.
Defence was woeful at both goals as usual.
Midfield was poor, Ntcham gave the ball away to much and could barely pass, thought it was Kouassi playing again. Forrest did nothing
Griffiths was too isolated on his own, much better when Moussa came on and we had two up front.

very disappointing as this team was barely a threat and a good defence would have seen us through this tie.

he let a cross in that led to the first goal and he was ball watching and let his man score the 2nd after the headed cut back, hes jut not good enough and hasnt been for a long time, its baffling why hes still here tbh

 

I get your point but sadly the teams we come up against in qualify example don't spend 60 million on a player lucky to even spend what we have spent on one player but still go out because we are ignorant

Cant answer for another team mate , i know * all about them and nor do i care . Though i will say if they "back' into the group stage , im pretty sure the barcelonas,etc.. will be thumping them

 

His personality has everything to do with it tbh because at his age he should know better the fact is hendry gave him a showing up when he moved right his days are numbered and not worth his contract should be on a pay cut and made as back up

I like it as a tournament. I just don't have any faith in the club to spend money knowing that we're in it and not the CL.

I don't have any faith in them to spend full stop.

 

The money we are making is not being spent on the team,,, i can understand its a trophy if we can win it fantastic.

In 1967 we won every competition we were in ( i am old enough to have been there that year ) one of the cups was the Glasgow cup, us as fans we went mental bcos every trophy was won.
If we do the treble and the Europa cup as well, the Europa cup will have bigger prestige than the world cup, bcos we will have won 4 trophies ...HH
