Fair play to AEK, they gave everything I'm defence but the most disappointing thing is that we could all see it coming with the defence. Hendry and Simunovic in front of Gordon has shitebag written all over it, and lustigs badly exposed on his side when trying to support jamesy.

This was all apparent before this summer and more so now with the Boyata fiasco and Ajer suspended (a joke that a 19yo is our most reliable centre half - he needs a decent partner back there).

Board need to take a long hard look at themselves, but how often have we said that?

The answer now is to not sell players (except Boyata) take the hit financially this year. Get a new CB in to partner Ajer. Identify players now that will strengthen the team and get them in in january to boost the squad and have an eye on next year. But for me that makes too much sense for the board to take heed. Hendry and Simunovic are simply not good enough and never will be.

Wouldn't mind a good run in the Europa but * me will we even make that with what we have in defence?

Don't think we deserved to get knocked out in fairness, thought we were the better team overall.

To be on such a high after two domestic trebles and CL football we're now back to finding ourselves dumped out of europe and having to qualify for the europa.

Should have skelped this mob tbh, slack defending and not enough confidence in attack. In hindsight they were there for the taking and we should have beat them home and away.

 

It's no as bad as that all in all we make over 20 million if we qualify and add in ticket money that being said only a treble and a last sixteen or quarter final performance can make up for this loss the showing on the last 32 last season show its beyond us
