He’s made Rodgers look a right *, he wanted him to stay so told the board to reject a bid from Fulham, rumours were that they’d come in with a 2nd bid until Rodgers said publically he’s not going anywhere.

Got to really feel for Rodgers after the McGinn fiasco now this, a donkey and a * of an agent thinking their Sergio Ramos and Jorge Mendes.

Don’t feel for him at all, he was literally the only person I saw who seemed to think Boyata would sign a new deal.

He should’ve been looking for a new first choice centre back to come into the team for our most important games instead of telling the board to refuse any offers, then having that player refuse to play.

Honestly astonished the board rejected the bid.

 

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when Kyle Lafferty appears to have more class than our player Boyata in regard to commitment in final year of contract

He would be idle till next summer would he not...?...in jan he can sign a pre contract but not move till summer.

 

Yes its not ideal,but i would rather have the money than a * off player who runs around with a strop on,im sure if we had sold we would have signed a replcement....BR would have demanded it.

 

I do think BR is a bit more to blame for this one. It was reported that Fulham were offering Boyota 45 - 50k per week - we simply can't match that, After his relatively successful world cup - it was always likely that he would want to move on and refuse to sign a new deal with Celtic.

Brendan has a good relationship with the players (and most of this bs is coming from that * of an agent). However, I think BR was living an a dreamworld if he thought that his influence could get Boyota to stay for a lot less money.

Given the current situation, other clubs are likely to come in with lower offers as Boyota has made it clear he won't extend.

Frankly, I think we should get rid for the best offer we can get before the end of August.

Whoever's fault it is - Celtic have made a real * up of this transfer window. We actually have a weaker squad now than we did at the end of last season.

Read my post again - you're taking it out of context - that is specific only to how he is treating the final year of his contract.
Yes he's a detestable cretin yet that is reflection of what I think of Boyata compared to him IN THAT REGARD.
