    I think we need a few like that in the team mate! Maybe not to play every week, but in certain games, that’s one of the main reasons for being disappointed at missing McGinn.

    After watching that brass neck today. I think you know you’re in trouble when you’ve got that chancer Naismith standing over you shouting the odds. He did it to Kouassi, Hayes and Hendry at the end.

    Can you imagine that happening with a Balde or Mjallby in the team.

    Some of them looked terrified of Hearts!

    I don’t know if Rodgers has a mental block but his previous teams have been the same.

    Not enough leaders, aggression.

    I think we need to ship a few out. Either nominal fees, free transfers, loans, even possibly paying a few off(with part of their contract)

    Every Celtic fan I’ve spoken to since last night is totally scunnered.

    For all the good work Lawwell has done, when he’s left Celtic the overriding opinion will be we never ever did that little bit extra. He always seemed to kill the mood!

    He, along with Brendan, Congerton and whoever else are looking at players need to step up!

    Aye mate, 15.An 18 year old centre half played 15 games for Real Madrid in 2011.

    You’ll reiterate * all, you’re talking pish. He’s been a regular since the following season when he was 19.

    Id have been :99::99::99: at the thought of signing two old hasbeen slow pensioner * like Huth and Terry 2 weeks ago but now we are two weeks on, still no centre-back and with Boyata leaving i'd probably take both of the useless *. They'll probably get the pish ripped out them in Europe and be all over the place with guys running at them but at least they are competent enough defensively and can both stick the nut on a ball from a corner.

    He's been a regular since 19? Regular? So he has 141 games in a 7 years stint, I know you called me Einstein back before, but without using a calculator that's 20 games per season in my book.

    Real are actually my fav foreign team alongside Roma so I watch a helluva lot of their games.

    And going back to my point, we can't be taking any 18 year old prospects to fix this defence.

    Almost all of them, he played 1220 mins of 1350 he possibly could have.

    Couldn’t be simpler, don’t judge a player by his date of birth.

    You’re 100 games short, get back to Googling.

    You can’t watch much of them because I could tell you he played week in and week out before he turned 20 and I * hate Real Madrid.

    But he’s not Varane, one example of an 18 year old who wasn’t phased by first team football at CB for a big club isn’t enough to justify gambling on this lad. You can’t just throw him in. For me Varane is one of the top 5 CB’s on the planet.

    Could I be proven wrong? Of course I could. I’m just not willing to take that risk.

    Without knowing who your mystical 16 year old is, aye. You could go through numerous examples, Varane was just topical. Rooney is another...

    I’m not advocating signing a kid to shore up our defence, I’m saying don’t write signing players off because of how old they are.
