Love BR and wouldn’t change him...

He was always going to be focused on attacking football, we get that..

However his assessment of our defensive assets plus the additions he’s made, is a real worry..

His flippant Celtc TV interview, when he said ‘Some think you need to be the next Billy McNeil to be a defender here!’ (Or similar) was pretty insulting tbh..

Get the finger out - BR, Congerton & the Board.. you got three weeks to sort the defence.

    Your Kidding?

    That was said?

What a * *....I love Rodgers, that's bang out of order.

I know hes * off,but you dont act like that as he did today with that setup or with insulting our known defensive needs.

As the board better get their act together,he better get back on the ball again,we got big games coming up now.

    We’re talking overall.

And McGinn being one of his main targets worries me. He talks about wanting ‘quality’ and progressing. Signing players who wouldn’t get in our best 11 isn’t doing that.

If I was the board I’d get rid of Congerton and spend decent money on a highly rated DOF to overhaul the scouting.

Rodgers would walk if he doesn’t have full control though.

I’ve defended him more than most on here but our squad is an absolute riot outside the starting 11 and subs when fully fit.

He always spoke about us having too many players and wanting a small squad but he keeps buying *. You could realistically punt 8/9 players tomorrow and literally not miss them.

I don't think Brendan is the problem. He tells them who he wants and it's up to PL to sanction it. He's not playing ball with Brendan. If he were we wouldn't have an unhappy manager right now. I think PL wants Brendan out because he's become bigger than him. I will absolutely despise PL if Brendan is forced out. Also I don't think Brendan means to be flippant because what is he expected to say? Of course he's going to say things that big up players who're not really up to his standards he has no choice. He can't say what we have is rank rotten and they're never going to amount to much. He's right in a way as we expect these players to live up to very high standards......you pay for dross you get dross. Even Brendan can't always make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
I don't think that there will be any signings and with each passing day I think Brendan is going to go :54:

McGinn was superb today for A Villa. See some of the quotes from Villa fans below -

Although he didn’t score, he was involved in each goal as Aston Villa beat Wigan Athletic 3-2 at Villa Park. His display has wowed supporters at the Birmingham club, who took to social media to praise him: NorthernGordon: “McGinn has the potential to be a Villa legend. Great start from the lad.” LakotaDakota: “Seems we have actually got a bargain for once rather than spending 15 million on s****” Ferguson1: “Deserves MOTM today, as he’s been the best Villa player on the pitch. Fab debut.” VillaAlex: “McGinn is an absolute match winning player.” srsmithusa: “Looks like McGinn and Grealish are gonna make a brilliant attacking midfield pair.”

Thing is though Jeannie PL is not daft he knows the value of having Brendan as manager, my worry is that once any trust is lost or there is a falling out, things can never be quite the same again, i really hope this isn't the case here.

I love him as well but I can't really listen to him. Talks untold *..

Remember when he was talking about the superstar Musonda and how he massively caught his eye for Betis against Madrid. He didn't even play..

The bloggers are saying that there's been a major falling out between them. To be honest I can believe it. Much as I've admired PL business sense in the past and how he's kept us stable I have never liked him. I think that he comes across as arrogant. Brendan is a fan like us and he's desperate to bring us success but I feel he has become too big for PL. I keep thinking that the board wants everything to go back to the way it was pre 2012. A lot of people see our domination of Scottish football as unhealthy and crushing to the opposition. I have a strong feeling Brendan is getting stiffed on transfers and there's little he can do about it.

I love Edouard but if we were going to spend £9m it should have been spent on the defence.. was he really the priority?

The fact he can’t see our defensive frailties, is a worry... can’t be all down to the board.. BR brought in Congerton so he can’t be devoid of blame.. 5 windows are we’re going into a CL Qualifier in Athens.. with Lustig, Hendry & Simunovic at the heart of the defence.

    To me Jeanie, that’s unacceptable..

This won't be liked but a think he is clueless when it comes to defence great setting up to attacks in a few different systems but he has a real weakness in that area imo,

Apparently he had identified a defender pre World Cup and he told the board ....Fabian Schar (according to phil). It seems PL dragged out negotiations as he is wont to do and we lost out. Eddy was a good buy and Brendan likely thought there would be one or two others to add to that. PL would agree to Eddy as he sees pound signs in the future. I dare say if Brendan had been told that was going to be his lot he might have altered his thinking. I think that fact that we're going into this game with inferior players is purely down to the board. You only have to look at the McGinn Saga to see how the Celtic board operate. The fact that Boyata said he was given certain assurances that he could leave should also send warning signals. It's not the first time our board have been accused of treating players like that.
