So he's happy because he said so? You honestly believe that?

    You can't touch them though..

The rat Naismith got his first booking in the second half. He kicked out at 2 different incidents. Went in with an elbow. Stood in the way of every freekick we had..

We had someone go up for a challenge second half and booked straight away. Wasn't even an elbow..

We do need to start fighting fire with fire at that shithole particularly though. I'd rather see us lose and Naismith off in a stretcher unable to walk again than lose like that without a challenge..

I’d love lafferty, Naismith or Levein to get crippled. Fully body cast. Boof. Oot the game. Scumbags the lot of them

I, personally, always maintained that Erik Sviatchenko was our best centre back. He did have some failings, but he was easily the best we had imo.

Under Ronny he stood out as a leader and was one of our best players. Granted he didn’t start well under Rodgers, but he was a defender who at least showed a degree of consistency compared to any other defender we have had in the last few years. Boyata? Simunovic? Hendry?

I thought it was the wrong idea for Brendan to freeze him out.

Rogers won’t be here for 10. Will be surprised if he is here at the start of next season.

This summer has been the beginning of the end Imo.

Celtic never build on a position of strength and he will soon feel he’s taken us as far as he can.

He can talk about the board matching his ambition and whatever because we missed out on McGinn, but that doesn’t take away from his signings that haven’t worked.

He said January was the important window for Europe this season, he got backed and it was an absolute disaster.

The fact we aren’t even linked with anycunt apart from a teenager from Australia on loan is baffling considering he wants players in.

Tried to defend Congerton coming in after Sunderland fans warned us about him, seems like they were right.

What were Sunderland fans saying about Congerton?

I wouldn’t say signings have been a complete disaster, but defensively we haven’t signed a quality player ready for the first team in a while.

I’d rather believe our manager than fantasise about how he’s feeling. Essentially anyone who says otherwise is calling him a liar, therefore demeaning the man and all he stands for. Honesty and integrity go a long way, two traits I associate with Brendan. If you look at my first post I acknowledge he knows we need to improve, but to say he’s raging etc is very much saying the opposite of what he has just said to the fans

    Absolutely slaughtering him.

Rodgers told us Compper was that guy in January. And gave Jozo and Ajer new long term deals. Desperate for Boyata to sign on as well, board rejected £9m and will lose him for fuckall now because the manager loves him.

I seriously don’t see how the board are to blame for our defensive issues. For me they lie solely with Rodgers.

    Agreed.

I love Rodgers to death, but his shortcomings or if you want to call it his "blindspot" is * crippling us at times.

Defensively, we are poor. And the fact that Rodgers only signings in defence have been Gamboa, Compper, Hendry and Izaguirre into his 3rd year as manager is shocking (obviously the flip side is what he HAS done with what he has had at his disposal is another story).

We need serious investment, and we need it now.

See I don’t even think we need ‘serious investment’. We’re just signing *.

I think the board could give him £5m for a defender tomorrow but he’d rather put that towards Boyata getting a new deal.

It’s at the stage where I’d rather the recruitment was taken away from Rodgers/Congerton but he’d walk away. Bit off a * up situation just now.

I reckon he was the best of the 3.

How Boyata has survived I have no idea. He was rank under Deila, would give the ball away all the time and had a touch of an elephant. But not he's got World Cup experience for Belgium so he's magic.

Sviachenko was tactically decent and strong as *, but too slow for BR. We play with a high line quite often and Sviachenko is really slow (I remember the first time I seen him live at a game against Aberdeen I couldn't believe how slow he was) which is alright if you sit fairly deep, but we don't.

Serious investment doesn't necessarily mean top dollar, but moreso investing in serious players and not projects/has beens or utter * garbage freebies.
