    This signing begs the question: what's happening with Hayes?
    There are 3 potential explanations, IMO.

    1. Hayes is off, and Rodgers doesn't think he's good enough. So we need a backup to Tierney- cue the return of Izaguirre.
    2. Tierney is going away, and we know it. Easily the worst case scenario.
    3. Hayes will be used further up the field, maybe to give Sinclair competition. Thus Tierney and Izaguirre are pure LB-s from now on.

    Decent backup knows the club played at the highest level and Miller's shown he's not good enough to fill in for KT so it gives us a chance to rest KT and not run him into the ground really can't see any downsides.

    If it is a 1 year deal for cover so we can use money to put into more important places then I am fine with that. I think he is fine domestically. If Celtic get to either group stage then it is a minimum of 54 games this season if we get knocked out of the group stage and knocked out of the cups in the 1st round, KT can't play all that.

    Dont get why people are complaining , we are getting a good player that knows the squad and loves the club on a free. Hes going to play what 10 games a season and you know he will give his all, so whats the issue?

    People suggesting we sign Meling off Rosenborg. He’d likely cost a few million and would he even want to come to Celtic knowing he’d be back up? Very, very unlikely.

    Totally unrealistic and signing Izzy back makes perfect sense.
