Clearly iv suggested that the lack of investment as a whole would lead to him doing so, you have chosen to interpret the post that way.

For the third season running we have failed to invest significantly at the back. Plus, If Armstrong was allowed to go, it should have been only given the green light as and when an adequete replacement was identified and guarenteed, even despite his contract running down.

If you read BRs interview, it very much suggests to the contrary. He wont be involved directly in any negotiation, he has told the board he wants him and that will be it.

If Brown or Ntcham get injured it might be a “dealbreaker”. In any case we should be trying to build on the strength of the squad and until Armstrong is replced, we are still weaker than last season.

 

So what about when John Collins done it to us in 96? He sat it out players do it all the time.
