Arzani is Roberts replacement. Looking like we're waiting till January, in regards to McGinn. So if Rodgers wants 2 more after Arzani, looks like they'll be defensive reinforcements..

A right back is happening. Ralston and Gamboa don’t enter Rodgers thoughts unless it’s an emergency. Look at Gamboa not even on the bench yesterday. Probably just wanted to keep him until a new RB comes in. We should be trying to offload Compper as well

I get what you're saying mate, but i wouldn't count compper in that list and ajer/hendry and ralston are all young players, plus rodgers opinion on gamboa isn't great, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see some defensive additions added.

We also had a RB training with us and there's been consistent murmurs of a CB. Gamboa and Ralston I don't believe are in the long term plans.

Compper is deid. Simunovic and Boyata are iffy and Hendry is raw.

Be a pish window if we end up with neither, for me.

Good assist for the second goal, fair * to him for treating Hibs with respect and being professional. Don't see it much these days.

wish celtic would just step in and buy the guy, and stop all the dicking about.
end up losing the guy to some mid tabled championship team

Unless we sell a CB and a RB I will say we won't sign anyone for the back

We've five centre backs, three right backs and one left back that's highly sought after. Think the defense is better than folks give credit for.

How many of them are of the requisite quality to improve us as a European outfit?

He’ll be our player next summer if not in January for next to nothing.

That was always the best outcome for Celtic.

Looks as if mcGinn is heading south, Aston Villa have money to burn now, and are bidding for Broonies replacement.
we should buy him and loan him out

ASTON VILLA have stole a march on Celtic in the race for John McGinn.

SunSport understands Villa have begun negotiations with Hibs over a deal for £4million-rated McGinn.

Celts have had three failed bids for McGinn, who is poised to head south for talks with Villa boss Steve Bruce.

Losing out on McGinn, 23, just two days before the English transfer window shuts would be a major blow for Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers who has been pursuing him all summer.

It’s believed the champions have felt confident all along that McGinn’s first choice was Parkhead.

They felt he could even be prepared to hang fire until January to sign a pre-contract — with his present Hibees deal up next summer.

That’s made Celtic reluctant to go beyond the £2m mark, with Easter Road chiefs adamant all along it would take double that to get their man.

Villa, recently bought over by billionaires Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, kicked-off their attempt to return to the Premier League at Hull last night.

Gaffer Bruce has been a long term admirer of Scotland star McGinn, and had him watched again in last Sunday’s 3-0 win over Motherwell.

Another impressive performance convinced Bruce to make his move.

Now Celts have to decide quickly if they will get involved in a potential auction for McGinn.
