Yeah you may be right about James. I can't help but feel he's gotten quicker though. Certainly better at running with the ball anyway like you say.

You're spot on with McGeady as well yeah I remember hearing a lot about Dupont.

The change in McGeady was frightening. I remember his first like 18 months he was actually fairly slow - he could dribble but he couldnt really run away from people, looked soft and weak but then returned one pre-season a lot leaner, stronger and much quicker.

Even last January when Tierney returned noticably different it still wasn't really close to McGeady in 2007 was it? or 2006 maybe? was like he changed from closer to Paddy Roberts to closer to Forrest out of the blue.

Was WGS second season, pretty sure he got POTY and YPOTY that season as well. It was bonkers wasn’t it :56:

We had Dupont on massive wages and he was * worth it. Strachan’s team were fit as *, the amount of late goals and the change in the likes of McGeady was bonkers.

Aye, I seen something about him recently that he does that kind of job for France now, didnt know he was doing that well in his career but must be superb at what he does.

He was extremely highly rated, he didn’t want to come and WGS gave him like £2m quid for 18 months work. A think it’s Clairefontaine he’s in now.

He's found a level of consistency now that a lot of us myself included always worried he'd never find, great to see the player he's turned into, that we all hoped he'd be when he first broke into the squad.

When was the last time he had a proper injury too, always in and out in his early years with strains and pulled muscles, but remember when Ronny came in spoke about his running style and balance was all wrong and needed to be training and strengthening differently than he was to support himself better, has he been seriously injured at all since Ronny's time?

I actually dont recall him being injured at all for 3 years.

Ronny's last season I thought he was our best player up till Christmas then with the contract shenanigans it seemed like Ronny stopped playing him because his contract was running out as he hardly played the 2nd half of the season as he brought Roberts in despite Forrest being in good form before getting dropped, under Rodgers I don't recall him being injured either.

In the past he always seemed to be a bit part of the team(IMO),now he is a core part for me.

Yes I believe that too.....he has become an integral part of the way the team plays and can affect play when he's moved around as seen the other night......BR has encouraged his self belief I think and it's made a big difference.

I think it was Brendan telling him to get up of his *, stop moaning at referees that aren't even loooking in his direction and fixing his hair while the play has moved on to the other side of the pitch that did it.

Think he has started to realise he is an experienced member of the team and is not 20 anymore ,teammates are looking to him for inspiration or to drag them into games, and I also feel br has told him he expects him to carry that responsibility, the bhoy has become a man .

    exactly

hes really matured the past two seasons

I wanted him gone a while back due to this running with his head down, ending up on his hole and yapping about it

    having seen that in donkeys

utterly transformed attitude wise and finally fulfilling his potential

Has Forrest become one of anyone else’s favourite players at the club over the last two seasons?
