Are we even interested in Denayer?

Im personally not keen on the idea of the Arzani loan when we have Johnstone and Morgan. They would need to be loaned out if he was brought in.

 

Don't know but we are definitely interested in McGinn and Arzani (3 bids for McGinn and deal agreed in principle for Arzani), that would leave 2 more positions to strengthen.

 

We badly need a CB and RB. Need them in sooner rather later as would like them to have games to bed in.

 

No chance of Denayer.

before this window started, what i thought we needed was a cb, rb and gk.... weve got bain who isnt our number one and no cb or rb. right now i would be happy with just another QUALITY cb to partner Ajer or Boyata. I really dont know how the club hasnt addressed these positions especially after how dodgey we do look in defense

 

I read Davie proven column today and he's saying why haven't the board gave Brendan the money to bring in more quality players as they are rolling in money at present.

 

Ignore the * man he’s a pure whopper. Looking for bites in every thread trying to get digs in at Brendan. The sad thing is I’m sure he said his first Celtic game was in 1982 so I’m putting him at about 40 year old

When people say where is the money it’s not there blah blah blah well section 23 of the notes on the accounts show £30m at bank as of 30/12/17.

Celtic clearly have a very large expenditure outwith the money we squirrel out the bank with no CL football but with EL group and progression you are looking at a loss of around £6m which our board do not like but you would like to think that it’s not about balance sheets with £30m in the bank it’s about success and progression on the field which is why Brendan should have had the highest budget in our history for me regardless of sales but he is correct (Provan) when he says the net spend is low.

If you both believe what you read and in addition to Brendan’s comment from last season when he said “Rainjurz are spending £10m in the summer we are a CL team and we spent nowhere near that” then people can say in terms of nett spend they have outspent us again but as their accounts are not fully audited and don’t follow basic principals of accounting they are just numbers.

 

Still over 4 weeks to go till the window closes , i think Provan's article is a little premature.

 

I'm a bit torn on our activities, if I'm honest... I know what we need, like everyone else, but I'd rather get the right players than the first available... We certainly don't require quantity.
I'd like to think that we're in the works with quality players and waiting on the guarantee of CL to secure them. That patience will respond reward... But... We've been here before...
The frustrating thing for us all is that we can see how close we are to being awesome, and we just wanna get over that line...

 

The annoying thing is, is that we are maybe one or two good players away from a really strong team.

I hope that we go for another quality player other than Mcginn.

 

Wev'e rattled out 9m quid on our first signing in Edouard a pretty big statement , then nothing time to judge is when the window closes.

 

Literally a RB and a CB away from being a really strong team, we've known this before the window even opened. Would assume rodgers knows this aswell but whether he will get the funding for both of these positions is another story. We don't need another CM at the moment and especially not one like mcginn.

 

The Huns get an easy ride from the press and their ex players , while ours are only too quick to stick the boot in.
They have brought in about 10 or 11 players from what 5m? if that frees and loanees just giving them a wage and nobody dares question them.

 

Worry not, about them or the Scottish Media.. BR has set the bar for us high and our standards aren’t comparable..
