Watched a good program about drug abuse by the rich and famous. This looking like a junkie thing is not applicable to all.
One part about the crystal myth and how rich/famous people take it and look fine.
Basically the point they made is that if you only have £100 it will be spent on drugs and drugs only. So paying for health care is not optional. So you end up looking like *.
But if you can afford to Get as high as you want and pay for your dental, health and nutrition intake. It will be hard to tell by someone's appearance.
Also these people have people telling/making them to do it.
And apparently most rich and famous people are hooked on something.
We don't usually find out until they admit it or die.

Baffles me how or why multimillionaires can get caught up in the junk game.

Cocaine I can clearly see, injecting smack in your veins however. No matter how incredible you feel taking it there is no happy ending.

That’s rather immature. Don’t know how anyone can make a joke out of someone struggling with addiction.

Paul they live a pampered life and attend clubs and parties to listen to peers tell them they will binge for 6 months and go to rehab. These up and coming kids are impressed and know no better. Their management and parents have a lot to answer for. It is rife and this goes back to Drew Barrymore and McCauley Caulking as twelve year olds. Brittany seat in front of her ma on a private jet at 16sniffing coke of the table. They are consumed by the illusion of life in the Hollywood jet set.

Kind of off track from Demi lovato but everywhere is now rife with the *, especially Britain,Ireland and America. It’s not like years ago when kids would just take an E or 2 at the weekend at a rave or a party and maybe a bit of Charlie. Nowadays it’s cut with all sorts of * and kids are doing more and more. Also kids are now doing it during the week and binging like * on alcohol. I blame a lot on these reality tv programmes with men and women being made to feel they have to look a certain way, which can bring on anxiety and stress about the way they look.

I’m in my mid twenties now and got 4/5 mates totally hooked on Charlie, with parents having drug dealers at their doors and having to find ways to pay their debt. I was caught up in all that * for years and it’s no way to live. The best thing thing that could happen is for the government to decriminalise all drugs, it worked in Portugal, barely any drug deaths in a number of years. But i can’t see that ever happening here or america.

Don’t think legalising everything is the answer. But in turn this is the biggest argument and stumbling block for the argument of the government. There are many ways to skin a cat and it doesn’t take people like us to highlight the problem. Instead they should deal with it face on. But then again you can’t do this when you are tangled in that web.

From what I've heard she used to all that * when she was younger but has been sober for 6 years or so, obviously has had a relapse. A relapse after 6 years indicates that something pushed her over the edge. Think she suffered from an eating disorder when she was younger as well as other mental health issues. Over the past few years she's been doing incredibly well in terms of her music and looks great (I mean health wise not just that's she's a ride) so it'd be sad if she started going down this route again. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and she gets all the help and support she needs.

We all have different opinions on the matter mate, but what’s certain is that the uk government certainly need to take drug taking more seriously. It’s not just a small number that do drugs, it’s probably now half of the uk that are doing drugs recreationally. More and more young kids are dying that don’t know what they’re taking. It’s all fine and well if your testing your drugs, but most young kids aren’t bothering or dont know how to test their drugs and the consequences are devestating. For me legalising is the way forward.

Watched a programme on the Swiss, they have testing centres all over the country where anyone can come in and test their drugs. Thought that was a brilliant idea. Makes things a whole lot safer, you then know how much your taking and exactly what your taking.

My point is with heroin there is no jet set, it’s the least glamorous thing you could ever do to yourself and your family.

It rots your body from inside to out leaving you an empty shell.

Aye but to be fair Switzerland isn’t a shithole like the UK with a government who wants to starve the poor into submission.
How would we pay for them?

Someone that struggles with depression and self harm isn't looking for glamour though, they are looking to melt into another world and shut out all their problems.

Heroin is the OG in that respect.

Hollywood is a very sick place and its no coincidence a lot of these child actors end up * in the head. The place is rife with paedophiles. mothers and fathers who turn a blind eye to things so their children earn fame and riches. It's hard to get your head around but I severely doubt she's taking heroin as recreational fun. To the outside world these people have the perfect life's ,but at what price?

So you’re suggesting that any multimillionaire with depression should or do take smack?

The percentage of them would be in the percentage of 1 percent that do. Hence me questioning it!

I get addiction, I get mental health problems but if you have any sense left whatsoever becoming a smack addict should be the least appealing option of anything.

What, how did you seriously come to that conclusion?

You talked about how it's not "jet set" and not "glamorous", I simply made the point that I doubt someone (famous, rich or otherwise) with a history of self harming, depression and self medicating thinks about any of that when smacking up. It's more likely the complete opposite, to totally forget who they are, what they've been through.

Well you have answered your own point, someone with much publicised problems liker hers, about to shoot smack into their veins (smoke or whatever) clearly don't have their wits about them.

She might not have wanted stimulant/hallucinogen drugs like cocaine/MDMA/ecstasy on this particular occasion so went for a depressant like heroin. The fact that it was heroin and not a clean opioid OTC drug or whatever is likely irrelevant, she obviously wanted the hit and the consequences of "rotting her body from the inside", public perception of smack, dangers of smack are nothing but an after thought.

You have an issue with someone making a joke but don’t care about the comments sexually objectifying her, ok. :50:

Well that is no surprise given Hollywood and Disney’s shady past.
