Yes there has been more goals and the drama has been helped massively by VAR but the standard of football is what I was really meaning, the teams you would expect more from- Argentina, Brazil, Germany etc just didn't click/do it, imo.

 

Bilic in the studio tonight, I assume.

If the commentary and studio analysis on ITV is anything but complete * tonight that will be the biggest shock of the World Cup.

Well they don't all have to go at once..

Kovacic has the legs and tenacity to sit deep, although he's better as an 8..

Brozovic I don't really rate..

Badelj fair enough is an anchor man..

 

Kovačić is a solid dribbler on the ball. But to make room for him, either Rakitić or Modrić would have to go.
Brozović could be a deadly box-to-box midfielder if we also used Badelj to slightly unburden Brozović. If we play the same setup like vs. Argentina, he'll be more restricted to defense, though.

Brozovic looks very ordinary to when I first saw him against us for Dinamo. Looks hit and miss. Flatters to deceive at Inter..

The official teams aren't out, but I'll tell you this: the more runners we put out there, the better we'll cope with the English. Also, I hope Vrsaljko doesn't crumple on the ground during the game. Reports say he's been made fit to play. How, I have no clue.
