Listening to all his interviews since Rodgers came in he's always said he would be happy here til the end of his career and he would love to captain the club, I always thought if he was going to leave it would be around the same age mcgeady done it ( 25 or 26) I think if Tierney leaves in this window we can be sure the board have forced the issue

Think he would be more likely to stay beyond that than McGeady ever was, just going by the way McGeady speaks about his move these days.

    This is what I think.

Like it or not we have to remember being a fan and playing football still is a romantic thing and even in today's financially doped world we have to keep dreaming. A good bit of pragmatism is great but we can't completely be ruled by market forces.

If we're going to build we have to do it properly, we can't just keep building castles made of sand.

True, I'm sure Brendan would've paid that for him even if Armstrong strong armed the club and stayed till the January window. Mind you, players who do that don't get a sniff of a game and potentially their value diminishes.

@Marty McFly MON is one of our greatest ever managers but he got some amount of criticism for signing 'older' players on long expensive contracts because they refused to budge as they were never going to get the same wage anywhere else so that was basically their retirement pot.

Remember Ronny actually came out and (paraphrasing) said "I told him, look Dirk, you're fit enough to play but far too * to get anywhere near the subs bench so please just * off so we can spend that £30k a week on a decent player ya * * doing my nut right in so you are I just want to smash your face in when you turn up at Lennoxtown every morning like you're really interested in playing football." :31:

So aye, a contract is a contract unless as mentioned already there is a buy out clause in it which both parties agree to.

I agree with the point a out the board.

if KT leaves now it's a move they forced as rightly or wrongly they are business men who in their heart and head would say turning down £25mill+ as a stupid financial decision.

Will be gutted if he goes this early, it’s not like we don’t have money to go out and strengthen.

If he wants to leave i will wish him all the best and will follow his career closely. But it wont stop me being devastated at losing a fantastic player and one of our own that would be nearly impossible to replace.

I do hope when he goes it's to a bigger club than Everton although if he does go there I can't see him bein there for long.

Everton can * off. Good money for KT but no trophies. At the end of their careers footballers look back on trophies and medals.
    He'll win none at Everton.

There has been no bid made for KT, from any club in england. I think we can afford to knock back any bid under £30 million

What's this about personal terms being agreed before an offer has even been made?? Can't see him leaving. Surely not for Everton
