Not everyone. I'm sure Brown had opportunities to leave and go off and make fortunes elsewhere.

No chance he would have had any where near the offers Tierney will have.

I'm sure Brown could have went to a club on the par with Everton and at least doubled his wages at one point or another

So instead if millions a year its just a few more millions a year but no playing for the club you truly love. Id choose celtic everytime.

Keep in mind the boys went from £10 a week paper round to £25k+ a week im sure he has no money desires right now :56:

That's why I said AT LEAST Double in mine. You went for the highest in quadrupling I went for the lowest in doubling. Let's meet in the middle and say they could both have trebled their wages. For me Brown had those same opportunities. You'll have to ask him wether the multiple trophies, testimonial and adulation and respect he has here for evermore was worth the extra millions or so he might have picked up for a stint down there. He was still handsomely paid up here and will be more than set up for the rest of his days but I do realise 90% of people would find riches like that hard to resist. I hope KT is one of the minority.

25 million for a player like Tierney is peanuts and given he refused Arsenal once I wonder what's the point of moving to Everton

Tierneys not on millions a year though.

I went from £0 a week to £750+ a week doing a job i loved, if someone came in and asked me to do that same job under a different setting for £3k a week then im off as are most people.

I would be literally amazed if he went to Everton for 25 million.

Feel * thinking about him possibly leaving. I don't think tierney personally would want to leave but think the board will try force him out for the money, even Rodgers comments seemed fairly * odd tbh "morally wrong" the lad has said a million times he's living the dream so don't try make it into something that it's not. He's plenty of time to go to another team and make big money. He's in no rush as he's proved with his new deal but I'm actually feeling really nervous over this one. Will be missing a real genuine gem on and off the pitch if we lose him so hopefully he stays for the 10 atleast

The bit when he put the fear in him by saying look at John Kennedy. Basically telling him you don't know what's around the corner so take the money. That really peed me off. Putting that in to a young guys head who is having the time of his life, is on a 6 year deal & has bags of games under his belt already is * imo.

Yeah it's like he's really trying to twist one of our best players arms into considering leaving for the financial benefit. He's the teams manager and should be wanting the best talents in the squad. Not nice to mess with the lads head with them comments. Time will tell

What would happen if someone puts in a bid of 25mill for him now & the club accepted it which I think they would and Tierney goes to BR and says 'what do you think gaffer.....'. You would have to worry. By the looks of things he'll be waxing lyrical about the standard of the EPL & the riches it brings. 'Oh and by the way look at John Kennedy'. Not exactly the 'we want you to stay' vibe I think he would be seeking or we would all want to see.

I Just think Brendan is an honest guy and made comments that he would tell his son to think about before making any decision. He did say he would love him to still be at Celtic during the time he is still here so maybe it’s here we go 10 IAR then they will all head off into the EPL sunset to make £m

And we will have a new successor in Brooney as our manager then we will head for 15IAR :62:

Not once has Tierney or Dembele ever said they want to go, model professionals and we need them if either is sold it will be a board decision, meaning 30-40m.

What Brendan said wasn’t wrong, I’d just rather he didn’t come out with that.

Loves a chat sometimes. Hopefully his wife phones his mobile next time.

Tierney is Green and White to the core, but money talks.

If clubs are offering big-buck transfer fees, then it's a real problem for all concerned.

He's going to have a massive decision to make, and although I'd love him to spend his entire career at this club, he knows that a career-ending injury is never far away and that he needs to make coin while he can.

    This day was always coming...
