    Aye but getting to a European Final absolutely supersedes getting into the CL last 16 twice in 10yrs..

    That MON side were so unlucky in the Comp.. our home win v Lyon is one of the most complete performances I’ve ever witness a Celtic side put in... don’t get me wrong one man doesn’t make a team and Broonie has learned and improved under every manager.. he just has limitations to his game at that level.. that’s just a fact.

    It may do but it doesn’t mean that they didn’t fail at the higher level that Broony has empathically succeded in. I woukd love him to have had the help of Neil Lennon, Stillian Petrov, Lubo Moravcik, Henrik Larsson and co around him, could be at an even higher level than he is at now.

    I don’t think we’ve ever had a player that didn’t have limitations at that level. We’ve never had a Messi or Ronaldo.

    That’s true about limitations, Broonie also had Wanyama and Ledley beside him tho, do you think Broonie is better than Lambert was?

    I think he has done better than Lambert has but it’s extremely close.

    Neil Lennon’s team wasn’t anywhere near O’Neill’s for me mate, no matter how much I loved it.

    Aye I’m not saying Lennys team was anywhere near MONs but Wanyama would have made that team not sure Bronnie would have..

    He’s done better than Lambert due to the magnificent service he has given us, but for me Lambert was defo a superior player..

    Knew it would be an unpopular opinion...:giggle1:

    Lambert was at us for 7 years mate... not too far away from Broony there either. So if he has done better than lambert, as you say, what is you original point about doing poorly in Europe with broony in the team? Cos I’m a bit lost now.

    In terms of what he’s achieves domestically he has done better.. Lambert is a better player and was capable of influencing a game more at a higher level.. that’s a fact mate..
