The importance of the League Cup this season.

if we have a healthy lead in the league and european football after christmas I would accept not winning the league cup this year

 

It'll start getting a bit ridiculous when we are competing for the octuple treble. How long can we hold down Scottish football and * it in the * before it gets boring?

 

Still to this day I call it the C.I.S cup dno why just always been called that for me , but aye obvcourse we want it we want every competitive trophy we play for again Treble Treble please

 

We’ve got a big squad with more players due in, so I’d rotate more for the cup games and try to keep a similar line up through out playing the likes of Hendry, Eboue, Johnston, Ralston, Aitchison etc.

Well i for one would be delighted when we win the League and have our best season in Europe since 2003,anything else is a lovely bonus.

 

Treble Treble has a nice ring to it and would be remembered for a long time to come.
I want the treble treble and qualification from the group stages of the Europa.
If we had invested while on top as we should have done this would be the bare minimum.
We would be expecting it.
We are a defence away from getting it,sort the defense and it will happen.

 

We've had 2 trebles and 2 cracks at the CL under Rodgers. I think all we can do now is regress or struggle to maintain our standard.

I'm going to remain realistic in the sense that "it's okay not to win or expect another treble".

We aren't expected to win Europa, we are expected to win everything else. Let's just get further than the huns in Europe, even for the psychological factor.

 

In terms of momentum and atmosphere around the club I'd argue the timing of it makes it more important than the Scottish cup. We win it we have something tangible to show for our efforts and a treble is still on. We don't win it this place is all doom and gloom and obviously the treble is gone.

 

As long as we win the League and the Europa League i wouldnt mind not completing the treble treble as it would mean automatic CL GS qualification as well as 8IAR

 

It's important we get it under our belt after the way we've started the season.

treble treble is a once in a lifetime opportunity so its massively important to me.
any tournament celtic are in is and i want us to win everything no matter what it is.

Every competition should be treated equally and whether we rest players or utilise the squad should be dependent on the opposition we play not the competition itself.

 

Balls. The only long run in europe I would accept for not winning a treble treble would be to get to the final and win it. A treble treble will never ever be done again if we win it. * having a daft run in europe instead of it. The history books would look better saying 2018-19 treble winners rather than last8 of uefa cup.
