I've only listened to parts of the game on the radio, but they were slating gamboa at one point saying he was doing rubbish. Some point where neymar did him twice in a row?

Good to know he's actually doing well

Didn't see most of the game but nearly gifted brazil a goal at one point with a horrible touch.

Thought he was gash if I'm being perfectly honest.

Neymar never got past him once and he stopped a Coutinho goal with a great block, definitely not gash.

Was a good block aye, but nothing special in terms of ability.

Had a cracking slide tackle on Neymar that went out for a goal kick, but other than that, not much.

Thought he did well, would certainly have him above Ralston in the pecking order. A lot of negativity around Lustig at times, but I'm happy enough for him to be a starter again next season.

His performance today pretty much summed him up. He’s a good outlet and dangerous going forwards, but he’s got mistakes in him and can look pretty suspect defensively. He’s a wing back, not a full back.

What do people expect when he’s hardly played all season apart from International games to go up against Neymar. He played well considering.

As has been said hundreds of times he suits our style of football a lot better but Lustig is used more for his experience and height, also knowing that he will stay back when KT bombs forward.

Think he's played more for Costa Rica in the last few years than us and wba.

Agree 100%. As some have mentioned apart from playing the odd domestic game for us the only two games of note he has played in were v Barcelona (also against Neymar) and Bayern (up against Coman). Against Barca especially he wasn’t the only the one that struggled.

Has impressed me for the most part domestically as he suits our attacking style a lot better than Lustig does. Especially domestically he is a handy player to have when trying to break defences down with his pace on counter attacks.

Apart from the odd good cross Lustig doesn’t contribute much in an attacking sense. Lustig showed last season that he has a lot of mistakes in him.

I think rodgers see that he doesn't put enough effort in when he plays for us and is about right when you see he opted to play in gold cup rather cl qualifiers and his performances for Costa Rica remember he played against neymar before in rodgers first season and he was a shambles
