Tbh I thought he picked up some cracking positions only for his team mates to either play it safe or punt it long. Dont think any in the Aussie team had the ability or composure to pick him out says more about his teammates than him imo.

Hes been ineffective against the best. It is unarguable.
He certainly doesnt lack ability dont know where youre getting that notion from. His skill set allows him to lord it over our domestic game. Also, be a key player in the qaulifiers. But thats where his impact in europe has ended for us.

Why do you think we (not him) have been ineffective against teams that cost billions to assemble?

    Basic common sense. Levels.

Every attacker in our squad have had good games or made a contribution at that level besides him. Levels is what stops them from doing it consistently. Hes never done it at all.

Off the top of my head, he was excellent home and away against Man City last season

Probably am being harsh in saying hes never done it. His first half against City at home is his best in europe undoubtedly. And similar to what Pauls saying the way we played in that half is a way weve struggled to play since in Europe. so it does factor into how hes played in Europe since.

Was going to say that, especially City away he ran the show and was probably the standout player on the park.

He also had a great game for Australia against England last year or 2 year ago or so.

He's had plenty of good games for Australia, including in the recent WC qualifiers. I would suggest that he still made a big contribution in the France game as Kante had to mark him which took him partly out of the game. Aaron Mooy (for me) was the best player on the pitch but wouldn't have been without Rogic keeping Kante so occupied. Oz were ripped off though, that VAR decision was outrageously bad and yet the Frogs were allowed to hold our players in the box at every corner. Where's the VAR for that you dodgy FIFA *?

I think it more clearly shows his lack of understanding.

As i said i was being harsh saying he didnt play well in the first half against City at home. City away was not against the quality of player im talking about.

Harsh? One of the best performances I’ve seen in a Celtic top. We fell apart when Armstrong replaced him. He was exceptional.

Come to think of it, I can’t remember a time he has.

    Strange.

Maybe he's always been asked to go into the box due to his height?

Was just thinking that he'd probably be able to put a great ball in consistently.

He’d beat the 1st man, that’s for sure!

Don’t think we’d miss him being in the box either.

    Dave King statement required!
