Good to see the Krauts lose. Mexico deserved that.

Weird how Mexico won by attacking Germany, I thought they had to follow the Iceland blueprint. :39:

Right, who's gonna make a thread about how we should play like Mexico?

Amazing game and amazing to see the Mexicans willing their team over the line in the end. Delighted to have been able to watch it as well, especially when you see how much it means to them with the scenes at the end.

For all the possession and aimless balls into the box from Germany, Mexico had the better, clearer chances. Probably should have won by a couple.

    No really..

Think it just cements Mexico and Germany going through now. But instead of second and first, it'll be 1 and 2 now..

Sweden and South Korea would've been hoping Germany spanked Mexico, giving them hope..

Mexico will get another 3 points at least and Sweden and South Korea will now feel the backlash..

Dunno about that, they should get through but Korea and Sweden are good teams a lot could happen in that group still.

Mexico were absolutely fantastic. They could have easily scored 5 or 6 if they were more clinical.

Germany were so open. It was far too easy for Mexico to counter attack them. The pace and energy in that Mexico team is scary. I think they will go onto have a great tournament if they keep that level of performance up.

I guess we will see but I think they will be very even, Korea have players like Son Heung-min whose world class and Sweden are well organised even without Zlatan.

Well done Mexico, fully deserved win. Their energy in the first half was outstanding. Should have scored 3 or 4.

Germany were awful. Slow, predictable and all over the shop defensively. Draxler and Muller on the wings just doesn’t work. They have absolutely zero pace out wide.

Reus and Brandt should be starting.

Think it was a bad decision to take Lozano off and leave Layun there, Lozano is a great goal scorer and Layun got himself into the positions but didn’t have the ability to finish.

Not sure what Germany's full-backs were doing in that game but it certainly wasn't defending. Kamikaze stuff.
