I think we failed to score in something like 8 or 9 League games which is unheard of but the players must have thought they need to take it easy in some games and the League was the easiest competition. Rodgers probably won't allow that next season, we really should be getting 90+ points in the League and winning atleast 30 of the 38 games.

We should be making the most of our squad: Ralston, Eboué, Christie, Morgan, Johnston and others are more than good enough to win games against domestic opposition.

Aye, if theres any criticism of Rodgers it's that he plays the same players too much and doesn't mix it up or rotate enough.

Although it's hard to say last season as there was so many injuries you don't really know if he would have swapped the team more but it was just all the guys were missing - Dembele, Griffiths, Rogic, Roberts, Hayes, Armstrong, Bitton and even Simunovic were injured a lot. Ralston and Johnston were also playing quite a bit when they were fit they were just injured most of the season.

I think if all those players were mostly fit then he might have swapped the team around a lot more, so his hands were tied a little but he did make no use of Sviatchenko, Ajer and Eboue for most of the first half of the season and then the 2nd half again Eboue never got many games or Roberts or Musonda.

Spot on buddy. Thats also why we have to keep the squad fresh without disturbing the chemistry.

Making the champions league for a 3rd season in a row is pivotal to our progression and growth..It also gives the players extra confidence and sets up the season, we may have 40m in the bank but if you make the CL it also helps keep your better players and attract them , than sell a Dembele' then try to spread out a few lower transfers while losing him.

Was thinking about this rationally this morning. When we win 8 in a row next year, he will definitely want to give 9 a shot, given its significance. Once 9 is won, no way in gods green earth will he pass up the chance to win 10.

He's here for 10 in row bhoys and ghirls.

GROWING up in the village of Carnlough in Ireland, Brendan Rodgers was enchanted by the Celtic fairytale – the great managers, teams and players who have all walked through the gates of Paradise. His incredible achievements as manager over the past two years mean he’s now a prominent part of this magical story.

To follow up the Invincible Treble in his first season at the helm by guiding the Hoops to yet more unprecedented success in the form of a Double Treble was truly remarkable and has forced a complete rewrite of the history books.

It was fitting, therefore, that a Celtic team, for the first time ever, returned to Paradise on an open-top bus following their Scottish Cup triumph to celebrate their back-to-back clean sweeps with around 15,000 jubilant Celtic supporters – unforgettable scenes in an unforgettable season.

For a boyhood fan of the club, sure, this felt special, but what gave Brendan Rodgers the greatest thrill was witnessing the joy on the faces of his fellow Celtic supporters.

“Last year felt like a dream, winning the treble in my first season. And this season was just remarkable really and historical,” he told the Celtic View celebratory Double Treble special edition.

“For me, it’s seeing the happiness of everyone else. People ask what it means to me but I grew up as a Celtic supporter and seeing what it means to people gives me the joy – seeing children, women and men, granddads and grandparents, all smiling and being so happy and being on the streets.

“That gives me the joy, as does the happiness of the players, knowing they’ve achieved something and added something more to their profile, and that’s ultimately what I’m here to do.

“It was a really special day for everyone. It was a great day for Celtic. You think of the whole history of this great football nation, players and managers, and to be the first team to do it back-to-back is a phenomenal achievement.

“My thoughts are more with the supporters, the players, all the staff and the board that brought me in a couple of years ago. I’m so happy for them that they can really enjoy this. It’s for the supporters. We can be nothing but inspired by the Celtic support and their commitment to us – wherever we go, they’re always there. To give them a day like that, and overall a moment in history, gives me the real satisfaction.

“This is something we’ll never forget. Saturday, May 19, 2018, was the day Celtic created football history in Scotland. I’m very proud and privileged to be the manager here at this time and now we’ll have a few weeks rest to go and enjoy it."

BR loves an offensive minded player, really hope he addresses our defensive issues in this window tho. Those issues have been quite obvious since he’s come into the club and going into his fifth transfer window they really need addressing..

GK, RB, CB x2, LB.. all needed..

While we still handed out a few doings, we also scored less goals last season in the league and looked a bit stale a few times drawing 0-0's where we could not break teams down, wich could have been partly due to injury with Roberts and Griff/Dembele out for spells , we tried to put fresh options into it in January with Musonda and it never worked out. so we will need another high class player in the attacking wide area now Roberts has gone with him, Brendan's instinct is to attack teams he aint going to change, And we will not change a whole backline and unsettle the squad either trying to bed them in for Europe and Domestically, Maybe a right back and 1 new CB we will get..we have also conceded the fewest goals in the league by far the last 2 seasons but Europe is another matter.

We’ve overplayed KT, we need cover there.. I think he’s probably happy with his GK options, sadly..

What I think we need and what we will get are two different things..

I understand not adding too much to an undefeated treble winning side, glad he's realised now he needs more. I expect a very good window this summer.

Don't think he's interested in any other job he's here to build something not only at celtic but scottish football aswell bit like ferguson at United .. United got better commercially and revenue wise so did the English league same thing can happen here seen article says scottish league is in top ten leagues for revenue created and that is with the worse tv deal and national cup tv deal in europe once that is sorted and continously qualify for champions league and other teams qualify for Europe. Then standards will get better by all accounts all clubs have the or house in order now bar the huns and dutd

If he's not given money to try and make inroads in Europe , Then there is no point in him staying even for 10 he's got the domestic scene on lock.
