Compper has, at this point, been a complete waste of a signing. There is no way anyone can sensibly claim otherwise.

Shockingly bad. Commper not so much, yet.

Most important part of that statement. And if he plays a key part in getting through to the Champions League, in the same way Toure did for example, that flips straight away.

The entire point is his signing was not shockingly bad recruitment. At this point.

    Christ knows.

I just remember him coming in and getting a thigh or groin injury almost immediately in Dubai I think it was. Then out for a month.

Ta.......i do agree that if he plays a part in helping CL qualification then that goes a good way to turning it round. However, if he's fit and this is the plan then i can't understand why he hasn't played any part in these dead rubbers to give him game time!!

Definitely. Remains to be seen though. If Rodgers hasn't seen enough to warrant starting him in any games other than a cup tie against Morton I have my doubts about whether he will have a pivotal role in qualification.

He's been here for 5 months and played in 1 game, at what point do you think his signing would be considered bad recruitment ?

Assuming he is fit, here is an experienced player who Brendan dosen't trust to play in meaningless games in the SPFL, yet he is to help us to qualify for the CL ? :43:

What’s the reason he’s played in 1 game and what’s he like as a player?

The worst part about it (including my stereotyping of German players) is our defence is the part of the team that badly needs quality and experience like Toure provided effectively for his short time here.

If Commper was another midfielder or attacker it wouldn't be so disappointing but I was really looking forward to him providing us with a base to the spine of the team. All the best sides have a solid spine. It's the base we're missing at the moment even though I have high hopes for Ajer he's still a kid and learning the trade. He'd learn a lot faster with experience beside him. I can totally understand Dortmund wanting him and I hope to * we hold onto him by providing a decent backline and constant first team football (fingers crossed European experience) to persuade him to stay as this is where he can reach such potential in a few years all the big clubs will be after him.

I think he's at the top of the transfer list but at the bottom of the call list :fear:

Sorry, I shouldn't take the * until we know for sure why he's not playing but it doesn't look good at all. We all knew Derk was ripping the pish by this stage and using us as his pension pot which is fair enough as we offered him the contract.

I would imagine Commper's pension is pretty safe already though considering his hstory and no way are we paying him Derk level money.

I'm sure that's what everyone would like to know, why do you think he's only played the 1 game ?

Must be something to do with Brexit, Germans not letting him play as they want Desmond to cough up £650bn for freedom of movement. Dermot says we've already given the NHS that money to treat him.

He's on the border of getting a game :fear:

Think the writing is in the wall for Lee congerton tbh it's ovb that musonda and comper where his scouted targets and have been really un inspiring really lazy * poor recruitment whereas lawell boy who works for man city and is a Tim deep down gives us a belt er in ntcham we should really be looking to get rid of congerton
