who will spend more money this summer

on players us or the huns?

 

We need to spend more, but i believe the huns will as they have made as much money as us if not more and their board are more willing to spend than ours as we have no ambition

 

depends on thursday mate. i'd like to think we'll have £10 million plus to spend and if boruc leaves add another 10 on to that. der hun wont have too much money to spend as they'll only win the SC and mickey mouse cup

 

Getting to the last 16 of the Champions League gets the same as finalist on the UEFA Cup.

 

in terms of prize money you get the same but T.V revenue and sponsorship for the CL is much more. i would say we've earned a lot more for our CL run than der hun have for their uefa cup run

 

in the paper it said they were making 25 m this season through european football

 

It probably works out roughly the same but when you add in there money from tickets and matchday sales.

Still, why does it matter who spends more? I would rather we spent well rather than more. What did we pay for Larsson, Boruc, Lubo etc? what did the huns play for Flo etc?

i think der hun have done well in the transfer market this year because they have no money so had to be very prudent. if they had money to spend they'd only go out and buy 11 seeeeeeeeeeebo's anyway

the good thing from our point of view is at best most of there players only have 1 season left in them, so they will have to completly re-build there entire squad, but with probably even less money than this squad was built with.

I just think spending serious cash sends out a message to your rivals. I dont care if they spend more as long as we spend wisely. If they spend around 20 and we spend say under 10 we could be asking for trouble.

 

I think the huns will as they are more in need of re-building that team. A gew of thier players will be going i think in the summer like Gow, Dailly, Couson, Boyd, Buffel & others. They need to bring thier average down as well. Celtic don't need that many players, We only need a few in certain postions.

 

Not to sure tbh have to wait till after thursday and see what happens with boruc to.

 

Rangers still to spend Hutton transfer money as well. we have money to spend. but what are the board willing to spend? imo about £10m. if Boruc goes, expect to add another £8m at least to that budget. (btw i'm not saying Boruc will go for £8m, i'm saying thats how much the board will let WGS spend)

Rangers had to spend alot last summer to get the boat afloat. they will spend again as Sir * always backs his manager with money, even if they don't have any.

so to conclude, if we sell Boruc, we will spend more. if we don't, Rangers will spend more.
