I think he's a solid number two. He's been good whenever called upon. I do feel that he isn't up to the standard of being our number one though.

We're not going to see another keeper in until Gordon moves on. When he does, I hope we get in a decent keeper as our number 1 with Bain as cover.

DDV can leave. Notts Forest fans love him but I just don't see it.

Calm down mate. It's just folk expressing their opinion on an Internet forum.

Aside from that, I think it's a big part of why he was brought in. We triggered a year long extension to his contract despite the fact he'd only played a handful of games if that many before it was triggered. Why do you think that was if he clearly at that point wasn't going to be our #1?

First let me say I really like him, great handler of the ball and moves the play swiftly and accurately...

He is quite small in stature tho and looks vulnerable at set pieces. Also has a tendency to try and save the ball with his wrong hand which can lead to powerful shots going right through him.. still young for a keeper tho..

A good reliable no2 for our new GK...hopefully!

Glad for him, a decent signing and even as 2nd choice he is one of the best in this league. With Gordon having another year left I think that another keeper will not come in until next year, maybe January depending on how Gordon is doing. At this point I think those 2 are fine as long as we improve the defence.

I'm happy we've secured him permanently as he looks a reliable keeper. Hopefully he can continue to improve at us.

We triggered it because he's a goalkeeper who Brendan trusts, not to coach Ross Doohan and Conor Hazard. :56:

Great news, always confident when he is in goals. His positioning imo is better than gordans and makes some hard saves look easy. Will be interesting to see if he is our first choice next season, because I can't see gordan wanting to be back up

    Imagine being him man. Brilliant.

Even if he ends up predominantly number 2 (every chance he could end up 1st choice of course), gettin to kick about Celtic for 4 years. Not like an outfield player who probably has to look over their shoulder all the time.

Doing keepers a dis-service there maybe, but he’s got it sweet now.

Aye especially when you went from a bench warmer, to loan bench to us and signed within a few months. Must feel unreal.

Been fairly impressed by him so far. Good to get this wrapped up before the season has even finished.

Happy for him as well, he must be buzzing with how far he's come in only a few months.

Very surprised he’s got a 4 year deal. Suggests he will be number 1 at some point. Gordon will start next season as number 1. Depending on how things go but I’d imagine Bain will get a decent amount of games as well. It’s one position I hate being chopped and changed. Think this will be Gordon’s last year at Celtic. Can’t see him happy being a number 2 which will inevitably happen.

Being the back up goalie at a big club must be the best job in the world. :giggle1:

Happy with this, he's looked good at most things when I've seen him and has an air of confidence about him which I think for goalie is essential, communicates well with the defence too.

I know the game the other night was a bit of a snoozfest, but one thing i did like was his composure and distribution.
