Aye it's a thing that's worked well with us with the best youth side's in Europe with City and PSG so you don't want to be cutting off your nose if you can help it..

I don't know if that will happen but I can imagine they won't be happy or willing to send many up in future now..

Hope not. Suppose they'd seek assurances their players would get more of a chance in future. Ideally, we'll keep Musonda for the full loan and he'll get the opportunities to impress.

    My thoughts exactly.

With Musonda having been a flop thus far, and Roberts barely featuring this season...it may put some teams off loaning us their players.

Slightly different with Roberts in that I think he's gonna be surplus this summer, has been injured and we've gave him plenty of game time (albeit no this year for the above)..

Hopefully no though as we're quite an attractive club for youngsters to come on loan or to sign and it usually works well..

    * Chelsea. He should be treated like every other player. He has done nothing to merit a place in our starting Xi.

Strange one considering Rodgers said he'd been chasing him for years and then never played him after his first few games, considering some of the games where we've been chasing a goal its weird he's not even came off the bench.

He was injured for some time, but he's been fit for a while now and still barely featured, and that was even with Forrest going through a dry spell for a number of matches.

He could absolutely have played more than he has.

Thing is, we’re a * big club with big games. And he’s sent here for ‘development’. Sorry but if there’s no space for him in the team then that’s it. Different with eddie who managed to get an opening, an opportunity, and take it!

Brendan getting off very easy on this one. He chased him the whole time he has been manager here and its looking like it could end like this after all.

Actually I am very surprised that he made so few appearance following the Zenith game where he made a big difference with his assist. He did play immediately after against Hearts and then I don't remember any more after that to be honest. Considering Sinky was in a really poor spell and was dropped around this time too, Brendan opted to play McGregor on the left or push Tierney up. Obviously both Tierney and McGregor are important players for us and is certainly ahead of Musonda. But think Brendan could have played him a few times here and there quite easily. Did not have to be big games but a game here and there and everyone would've been happy.

Just think there must be another reason for Brendan not playing him...maybe his workrate, attitude, fitness or something else.

Fully agree, all of the quality over quantity speeches he gave whilst chasing him too. He could've really helped us in the qualifiers/group stages

There have definitely been games this season where he could've got game time but for whatever reason wasn't even on our bench. Can anyone on here confirm if he has played with the development squad or not? from what I've seen he hasn't which is strange considering his lack of game time

In all honesty I really thought he would have made of an impact.

A few in here said he never really lit up La Liga and had a few flashes.

Seems like that's the case cause he can't get into the side.

I really don't see him as a 10 nor see him on the wings or being good enough to get into the side.

I would rather give the young lad from St Mirren the game time.
