Because Dembele played an absolute belter of a ball. Had nothing to do with McGregor's pass. You can clearly see Dembele has to stop his run and reach back because the ball played to him was poor. Dembele's pass was exceptional, McGregor's was poor.

Aye mate, * me right off when that happens.

Mind away to Boavista, Hartson tried to pass to Henke and it hit the defender instead, ended with the goal to send us to the final but I was raging inside

Dembele clearly has to track his run and it wasn't where he wanted the ball. It was a poor ball, it's really simple.

Yeah they are different types of players but who would you want in the middle more, Brown, Ntcham or McGregor? Who would you want ahead of them Rogic, Armstrong or McGregor? I get Armstrong hasn't played well this season but he was carrying a knock, last years Armstrong is streets ahead of McGregor.

McGregor is a decent squad player, nothing more.

That's completely missing the point and I can't tell if you're doing it intentionally or not? I haven't bemoaned the fact that the pass led to a goal, I simply questioned someone using that pass as a highlight of McGregor's strengths. It was not a good pass in to Dembele. I don't know which part of that is hard to understand to be honest.

I swear some of the arguments in here are mind blowing the pass from mcgregor wasnt a spectular pass fair enough but did he play a decent one to moussa when he was under pressure did it go where desired yes get the ball to.the man in space or get the ball.to a player as gifted as moussa is the objective and the wee man done that so any argument against it is just * in the wind

    I don't know what's real and what isn't anymore :39:

Anyway, I don't really rate McGregor out wide, think he's a bit of work horse and a decent squad player, but don't see him being capable of taking us to the next level anytime soon or finding the form of last season. Would have him second to Rogic, Armstrong, Sinclair, Ntcham, Roberts, Brown and Forrest every time.

So many of our counter attacks are hindered by passes being played behind the man or without enough pace on them, meaning players who were running in to space have to track their run and play a * sideways or backwards pass. Hitting the man is one of the objectives, sure, but hitting the man so he can actually do something with the ball without having to come up with something special should be the main objective.

Anywhere other than there and there's all likelihood that Dembele would've been closed down, he has 2 central defenders that are 10 yards in front of him, by the time the ball arrived they'd be right on top of him. In playing the ball behind him it takes those defenders out the equation and gives Dembele time and the angle to play the pass out wide.

It's a case of horses for courses, Broony and Ntcham are 2 excellent deeper-lying centre mids who give us good balance. That said McGregor is more industrious in an offensive sense than those and contributes more of a goal threat - eg. Last Sunday - than both Broony than Ntcham.

In the number 10 role I'd go Rogic > McGregor > Armstrong.

'Last years Armstrong' isn't this years, he's been absolute dug * this season more often than he's been good, as was the case in the circa 2 years prior to his purple patch.

McGregor has been far more consistent for us, has shown that he's not out his depth at a higher level (something we've yet to see from Stretch) and most importantly sees his future at Celtic.

BR on injuries: "Craig will return to the squad and we’ll assess over the next 24 hours the team and which team we put out. We are keeping an eye on Stuart, knock with his calf so we’ll need to assess that over the next few days."

Brendan is choking for a crack at this mob. Recent performances haven't been to his standards and I think he would be happy to have a game against these fucknuggets, which provides a bit of extra motivation with all the "cheering in the dressing room" after the draw was made.

Feeling very confident ahead of Sunday. We controlled the midfield in the previous game, with Brown and Ntcham (one of his best showings in a Celtic jersey). If we do so again on Sunday, then I fancy a comfortable win.

"This is a game they were cheering for - we respect every opponent," Rodgers said ahead of Sunday's tie at Hampden. "One of the values of this club is humility, we always show respect for every opponent."

Even though we've not been at our best lately, we tend to save our best for these mutant rats. Absolutely buzzing for this.
