Does somebody actually ask those things in the press conference? I would really like to hear his reasoning for this.

    1. Musonda has the physique of a twelve year old, and, an assist against Zenit aside, has done little of note in a Celtic jersey. He’ll get game time when he merits game time.

    2. Roberts is just back from injury.

    3. Compper is obviously injured.

    4. Boyata? I can only assume he has incriminating photos of Rodgers. :giggle1:

Roberts has been back training for weeks. He should be back in the side in some form by now.

Musonda as well, although the best of hum will be seen next season, we needed a goal tonight and he was left on the bench which I don't get.

Didn't see the game but I'd have kept Dembele on and brought Leigh on, with Roberts and Musonda. Didn't see the point in Ntcham as much as I rate him.

The Compper signing is looking more ominous by the week, too. He was pictured in training 2 days ago so I'm doubtful if it was an injury.

Seems obsessed by 'circulating' the ball.. we lack that real cutting edge that dynamic spark we had last season..

Where we pressed better, passed quicker and our decision making was much more clinical in the final 3rd.. it needs looking at..

10pts clear with 6 games to go.. and another treble in sight. As BR says we'll take that..

Brendan needs to kick some of these players up the *, they only seem to raise their game against the 'bigger teams' in the league.
We can't live off last seasons performances forever, some players better shape up or ship out.

BR: "We’ve recovered well from the other night. We have six games to go in the league and we’re 10 points clear with a good goal difference."

BR: "We have to go into each game now and make it count and get to the finish line as quick as we can."

BR: "We’re getting towards the tail end of the season where there’s been so many games. What is important now is that we have the freshness and the brightness in the team."

BR: "The guys at Hamilton are playing for their livelihood. I have full respect for Hamilton, Martin and his staff and the people there. They do a great job."

BR: "It’s really difficult for them but they always make a great effort of it. They give young players an opportunity and given them a chance to go and play. They’ve always been tough games for us so we’ll expect another one."

BR: "Craig’s doing well. That’s him now had 200 games with 100 cleansheets. It’s a very good record and he’s recovered well so we’ll see how he is over the next couple of days."

BR: "Kieran's back in training and he’s back very strong but with the calf issues you always have to be wary."

BR: "When there’s been issues with a calf or knee you really have to be careful when you play on the astro. So we’ll have a chat about that."

Makes you wonder why we pursued so relentlessly and allegedly paided a large loan fee for him.

Regarding your first point, don't you think the staff were aware of this? :56:

He's handled that side well from what I've seen.

I think we'll definitely see more of him next season once he's up to BR's standards.

Most managers have a preferred style of play and last season ours worked well with us tearing through teams, this season though we seem to be struggling as the pace and tempo aren't as high and we let teams reset by passing the ball around the back so much we also don't seem to be pressing teams high up the park when they have the ball

This possession obsession is getting very boring. Why bring in a guy like Musonda if all he'll be doing is playing balls back to the defender behind him ? We really need to give our wingers more freedom to take risks, even if it means losing the ball. We also need a number 10 that can play week in, week out because the gap between our midfielders and strikers is ridiculous at times, resulting in them dropping deep meaning we have nobody up the pitch when we do finally get that far up the park.

Not just our wingers to be fair. Our whole team play the safe pass more often then not. Once or twice a game we’ll spark into life then it’s just back to the sideways passes.

We need more consistency in the team selection now. Injuries are out the way so no excuse.

Frustrating. If you think about the type of football he spoke about when he first arrived as well as what we witnessed for much of last season, what we are doing st the minute is against his supposed philosophy.

I get that last season was a one off in terms of results etc but that doesn't explain the change in our style being so drastic.

This possession obsessed football is not just not giving results, it's brutally boring to watch. If all teams played like this most people would just give up of football.

We appear to be training nothing else either because defenders cant defend, strikers cant score, and I seriously dont remember our last dangerous set piece.

This guy is not an infallible * and we could be up for a very rude awakening next season in Europe, when we will play teams that are professional, not * scared of us and will try to win something. Specially with our signing policy.

BR: “I thought it was going to be a tough game and, on the back of a three-game week, it was a very good win."

BR: "We started the game well but then gave away a poor goal. We spoke about dealing with the second ball and we switched off defensively a bit on that, and then the young guy gets sent off and we have to change our idea in the game."

BR: “Griff comes on and does really well and once we get the second goal we don’t need to force the game really, especially at the back end of a long season and on a difficult surface."

BR: "You just have to keep your position and have good width in the game numbers on the inside and control any sort of counter attack."

BR: "Once we got the second goal, as a spectacle it wasn’t the most entertaining for supporters, but it was important for us to get the three points today and we’re nearly there."

BR: "We’ve put ourselves in a great position now and, in another couple of weeks, hopefully we can do the job in our next league game."

BR on @Leighgriff09: "“It’s just brilliant having him back and available. His header was very good and he was excellent when he came on. He’s just working his way back to fitness and getting him some game-time."

BR: "We'd to be careful with his calves today on the surface or else I'd have probably started him. But he comes into the game second half, putting an extra attacker in & a defender off and it worked well for us.
